I'm so glad to find a thread on canele. I've tried 1 about a month ago and I'm hooked. Sadly, I can't find any bakery that sells caneles in Singapore. So I'm going to start on my baking quest for caneles. i've read through the 3 caneles threads and I'm at a loss as to which recipe I should try. Hoping I'll get some advice from you all. :)

Does anyone have a good tried and tested monja shop in Tokyo to recommend?

i've way too many restaurants i wanna try out.... thats why i'm hoping i could share... hehe trying to make full use of my 5 days there.

my concern is stomach space (I'm a small eater) and time. I'm hoping to stop at more places throughout the day.

I'm going to Tokyo in Dec with my mom and I'm wondering whats the food policy like in Japan. Are we allowed to order 1 set meal and share it. Or must we order 2 sets? I'm really hoping they allow sharing, so I can try as many restaurants as possible :)

Hi everyone, I will be going to Japan in Dec and I'm drooling at all the description of food in Exilekiss's and Paul's blog + other various blogs. I really hope to go to tofuya ukai and from the blogs I've read it seems that i would have to make reservations way in advance but the problem is there is no email address on the tofuya ukai website. Is it really that necessary to make reservations for lunch? How did you all make reservations for the restaurant? Thanks in advance.
