Casual dining in Greenwich

Both sound worth trying. We have a soft spot for New Mexican food (my husband is an Anglo from El Paso) Boxcar Cantina sounds particularly worth a visit. Thanks!

Bruegger's Bagels

I am in total agreement. Being a New Yorker who has lived in the Boston area for 32 years, Bruegger's is pretty darn good. Finagle stinks and Kupels, Bostonians do bagels differently than New Yorkers, and I will leave it at that. Iggy's, although I love their breads, are so tough they are hard to take a bite out of and then chewing gives me a sore jaw. Rosenfeld's in Newton I agree are very good too. Haven't had them in a while. But Bruegger's, for a big operation and wide availability, does do a pretty good job.

New BBQ in Bedford!!!

What's the story with the burnt ends? I went there yesterday for the 1st time and my burnt ends were slices of brisket heated up! The brisket had a wonderful smokey flavor, but I wanted burnt ends! If they can't keep up with the demand, as someone else mentioned, then just tell me that they are out of it. I'd rather select something else and then get what I expect. I tried the house BBQ sauce which had no distinctive flavor. Not complex enough. I think that I will go back to Blue Ribbon. Have never tried Lester's. If I find myself in Burlington, I will try that. Sounds like lots of folks like what they do there.

Restaurants in Boston's North End

There are so many good looking restaurants in Boston's North End. We really like Pomodoro on Hanover Street. I would like to learn of other favorites.

Any suggestions of great restaurants to go to with a 6 year old? Lunch, dinner?

We will be in Chicago 11/8 - 11/10 and staying at the James Hotel on East Ontario. I think that we want to stay in Chicago proper. I like both of your suggestions. Are they anywhere close to where we will be staying?

Restaurant w/private room White Plains, Harrison or there abouts

Thanks for the tip. I will definitely check this out. It looks great on their web site.

Restaurant w/private room White Plains, Harrison or there abouts

We are looking for a restaurant in White Plains, or not far from there, that has a private room that can hold 15 - 20 people. This is for a group of adults looking for excellent food in the $15 - $25 entree range. This is a dinner for well traveled Brits and other family members the evening before a big (70 guests) fairly formal birthday party for a 90 yr old. So we don't want anything too formal for this pre-celebration dinner.

Great yet not REALLY expensive

I would like recommendations for interesting, (maybe ethnic, maybe not) restaurants in Watertown, Wellesley, Framingham, Natick, Waltham, Massachusetts.
