1st trip to Memphis - need hound recommendations.
I'm driving up I-40 and would like foodie places to visit. I am particulary interested in BBQ, but also want to try other local favs. I prefer the downhome dives and local haunts to tourist traps. I've seen other posts that provide names but are several years old. Thanks in advance.

Are there any Cuban restaurants in Dallas?
Las Americas off Peavy & Garland Rd was the only place I knew to get authentic lechon and real Cuban sandwiches. Not interested in Cuba Libre.
NY Style Pizza-DFW?
I've eaten lots of pizza in NY during business trips, and Pastazio's www.pastazios.com (owned and run by ex-NYers) is the closest thing to NY style pizza that I've tasted here in Dallas.
Are there any authentic taco catering trucks in Dallas?
I want to have an outdoor party for 40-50 people where authentic taquitos (w/cilantro, raw onion) are built to order. I used to live in LA and there were numerous restaurants that offered this kind of service as well as places like King Taco. Not sure where to go here in Dallas.
Dim Sum in Dallas?
Hands down, Arc-en-ciel in Garland. Dim Sum is served from 10:30am-2:30pm - you won't be sorry!
