Road trip eats in Kansas City

My brother and I are going to be on a road trip in a couple of weeks moving him home to Minnesota and we are going to be in Kansas City for one night to catch a Royals game before we head out, and we are looking for a casual place to grab some dinner before or after the game. We are staying near the ballpark so somewhere around there would be nice, but if we had to drive a little or if there is something on our way in (coming from Denver) that would work too. We are mainly looking for something on the cheaper side and where we can get a beer. Any food is fine, we are definitely not picky eaters, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Road trip eats in Denver

My brother and I are going to be on a road trip in a couple of weeks moving him home to Minnesota and we are going to be in Denver for one night before we head out and are looking for a casual place to grab some dinner. We are staying at the Warwick in downtown Denver, but we will have a car and would be willing to walk somewhere as well. We have a long drive that day so we might be getting in somewhat later, so we are mainly looking for something on the cheaper side and where we can get a beer. Any food is fine, we are definitely not picky eaters, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Road trip eats in Las Vegas

My brother and I are going to be on a road trip in a couple of weeks moving him home to Minnesota and we are going to be in Las Vegas for one night before we head out and are looking for a casual place to grab some lunch and dinner. We are staying down at the Tropicana, but pretty much anywhere near the strip would be fine. We are mainly looking for something on the cheaper side (admittedly probably pretty hard to find in Vegas) and where we can get a beer/drink. Any food is fine, we are definitely not picky eaters, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Definitive list of Mariscos German locations

Anyone know if there is a truck relatively close to Mission Beach? I am headed there tomorrow and would really like to try a Mariscos German truck if there is one nearby.

One week in Mission Beach, need recs

Sorry this reply is a bit late, but I did want to check in with one more question for everyone. My brother, who I am meeting in San Diego, recently got engaged and so we were thinking of doing a celebratory dinner one night we are there (it will actually be close to his birthday too, so lots to celebrate). If you could recommend one place that you think has the best food, either in Mission Beach or San Diego in general, where would you recommend we go? He would probably prefer something sort of modern American-ish, but anything pretty much goes.

Don't know if anyone will see this as this thread is a little old by now, but I thought I would try this first instead of creating a whole new thread. Thanks in advance for any responses, we appreciate all the help.

One week in Mission Beach, need recs

Just wanted to check in to say thanks for all the recommendations, we really appreciate it.

All of the recs so far seem awesome and pretty much right up our alley, so we are definitely going to check them out. I like that they all seem like they are pretty close to where we are staying, but we were wondering if there are any recommendations for places that would be worth traveling for? We will probably spend some time in downtown, so if there is somewhere we should check out if we are in the neighborhood, we would appreciate that too. And if there are any other places we just absolutely must check out, regardless of where they are located, let me know.

Thanks again!

One week in Mission Beach, need recs

I am traveling to San Diego with family for Spring Break and we are staying on the boardwalk in North Mission Beach. We are looking for recommendations both in and around Mission Beach, as well as some places in and around downtown or other places that we should absolutely check out.

We will have a car, but we would like to find some local places that we might be able to walk/bike to. Any type of food is fine, but a few specific things we are looking for are fish tacos, sushi, and a place we could go to for breakfast. Also, if there are any places that are not as close but that are definitely worth driving to, those recommendations would be appreciated as well.

Thanks for the help!

Jasmine Orchid closed? (MSP)

Fantastic, thanks for the information. I knew they were closed on Sundays but when I went yesterday and they weren't open I got scared. Looks like I know where I'm going for lunch tomorrow.

Jasmine Orchid closed? (MSP)

I tried to order rice noodle soup and a banh mi sandwich as takeout from Jasmine Orchid in stadium village today and there was no answer. So I stopped by to see if they were just not answering the phone and it appears that they are closed. The sign on the building no longer has their name on it and no one was around at 7:00 on a Monday. Does anyone know if they are shut down for good or if they are planning on reopening sometime? I am really going to miss their soup and banh mi, especially since I live so close.

Brunch in MSP

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good place to get Sunday brunch in the twin cities, and by brunch I do mean buffet style. I know most don't associate buffets with good food, but if anyone knows of somewhere that has one they would consider very good I would really appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

Birthday dinner in MSP

Sorry if my original post was confusing. I am not restricted to St. Paul, I live in Minneapolis and my parents live in Roseville, so anywhere in the Twin Cities would be fine. Also, I would rather not do Chinese/Thai/Indian/etc. because I know my dad would not be too thrilled with any of those. I've been to Muffaletta and always like it there so thats an idea, but would maybe like to try something new. I also like Jay's Cafe as an idea since I live about 10 blocks from there. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
-Adam

Birthday dinner in MSP

My birthday is coming up and I usually go somewhere with my family for dinner and I was wondering what suggestions people might have. I would rather have it not be too expensive (last year we went to Pazzaluna so around that or a little less would be good) or too fancy. Also my Dad is a very conservative eater, so the menu needs to include some regular fare for him. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
-Adam

Good eats on Hilton Head?

I have been searching, but would also appreciate any other comments about my questions, specifically places to eat close to Sea Pines or in Savannah.

Thanks again,

Good eats on Hilton Head?

I am traveling with my family to Hilton Head in March and I was wondering if there are any places I need to try when we are down there. We are staying in Sea Pines (or right around there) so close to that would be great, but the rest of Hilton Head and surrounding areas are good too. We will also probably be driving to Savannah at some point, so any recs for that area would also be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Adam

Any Standouts in Sanibel Island?

We used to own a home on Sanibel and I personally love Schnapper's Hots. I used to go so often that I got to know the owners and now I usually get a discount whenever I go! I usually alternate between the wings, the fish and chips, and the polish (which is great with piccallili relish) and I always get fries which are fantastic. They also have pretty good pizza. I also like R.C. Otter's and the Key Lime Bistro on Captiva, both of which have outdoor seating and usually live music, and the Lighthouse Cafe for breakfast. I used to love the Hungry Heron but haven't been there in a while because I think its gone downhill. They still have huge portions and a huge menu.

Denver recs near Coors

Well, we visited Trattoria Stella for dinner and stopped by Wazee Supper Club for lunch and both were delicious. Thanks for the recommendations!

Denver recs near Coors

Thanks everyone for the help. In case there are anymore posts, my brother is only 20 so we probably won't be hitting up any bars while we are there. All the suggestions are greatly appreciated though!

Denver recs near Coors

My brother and I are traveling to Denver for 3 nights in the beginning of August and I am looking for some good, affordable (we are both college students) places to eat. We are going to go to a Rockies game or two so places around Coors would be nice, and we are staying a couples of miles to the west on Speer Blvd so places around there would be good too. And we can always travel a little if there is something we absolutely need to try. Any help is much appreciated.

MSP--- Pizza by the Slice? ?

There's a place in Dinkytown called Mesa that I like a lot. Very non-traditional (I like the Macaroni and Cheese pizza), but they have normal stuff too. Also pretty cheap. It's on 4th street right across from Shuang Cheng.
