How to tip for non-free food delivery?

I asked the delivery guy if he got any of the fee. He said no, so I tipped on top of it. Looking at the receipt, I see that Wokcano adds the fee to the subtotal and then TAXES it. I'm not an accountant, but that doesn't seem right.

How to tip for non-free food delivery?

Just ordered delivery from Wokcano in SM, and was told there was a $2.50 "packaging fee" for my $25 order. Haven't seen this one before. I normally tip about 15% for delivery. Any thoughts on tipping for delivery when a delivery charge has been added? Deduct the charge from the tip, or tip on top of it?

Drinks in Sherman Oaks?

I wonder if anyone could suggest a place for a late-afternoon drinks date in Sherman Oaks or vicinity. Thanks!

Classic Baltimore diners?

Driving to Baltimore, hoping to visit an old-fashioned diner with decent food. Any suggestions?

Theme restaurants in Koreatown

Paid a visit last weekend to Cafe Jack, a "Titanic" themed restaurant in Koreatown that's shaped like a ship, with "Jack & Rose" sushi on the menu and Christmas-in-a-New-Orleans-bordello decor. Very peculiar and fun. Someone was telling me there's another theme restaurant in that area where waiters dress in school uniforms and carry chalkboards. Anyone know about that place? Or other theme restaurants in K-town? I love places like this.

Best food for in-car eating in SGV?

No, my plan is to pick up food to eat at the drive-in, not while actually driving.

Best food for in-car eating in SGV?

I'm heading east to the Mission Tiki Drive-In in Montclair this weekend. (If you don't know it, it's well worth checking out. So few drive-ins left in SoCal, the home of car culture -- but that's another topic.) I want to pick up food along the way. Any suggestions of particularly good takeout, suitable for easy in-car eating, and not ridiculously far off my route? I'll be taking the 10 from downtown, so that covers a good bit of the San Gabriel Valley.

Akbar on Wilshire Has Closed...

Adsvino, if you are certain the place has been sold to a sushi spot, any thoughts on why whoever is running the place has posted "Akbar Re-opening" signs?

Akbar on Wilshire Has Closed...

Signs posted at that Wilshire location say that Akbar is reopening soon. Anybody know what the story is?
