Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao in Little Neck? Bump - I was at the Prince location this past weekend and noticed the multiple addresses printed on the chopsticks wrapper too but cannot seem to Google any info about the Little Neck location. Has it opened? What about the outer Flushing location on Northern Blvd? |

new new haven, ct korean - orange st I used to live in Koreatown in Manhattan, so maybe my expectations were high, but I thought the food was just OK - not inedible, but not good enough for me to go back to. |

Excellent thin crust pizza -- must try their mashed potato and bacon (white). |

Has anyone had oysters at Essex on Thursday nights? Their website lists these daily specials under Dinner: |

Revisited Black Pearl recently -- needless to say, I wasn't very excited, but they have redeemed themselves! We ordered: The Black Pearl lobster roll Everything was delicious! Even the fries served on the side of the lobster roll and fried clams were tasty and addictive. Went home happy :) |

Thanks for your response. Definitely had my heart set on dinner there... I have made a few attempts to get reservations and it sure is not easy! My boyfriend and I have a weekday off (rare) so we are still trying to decide whether lunch will be worth it. |

Just make reservations ahead of time. I love Alta, I think its perfect for groups! In fact, I was there with a party of 8 and there was a larger group along the wall (approx 12-15, looked like a bachelorette party or a girls-night out). They probably couldn't fit more than 2 large groups there, but that was just the first floor -- I didn't even see the upstairs space, which is where I would guess the private rooms are. |
|

How about Alta? |

How do you specify the Entoteca on Opentable? |
|

Not too pricey lunch with parents for special occasion Thank you for your comments - sounds fantastic. I think I will stick to one of the prix-fixe lunches for my parents. I've decided to save EMP for my boyfriend to take me to once I complete the bar exam! :) |
|
|
How far in advance can you make a reservation for the Enoteca? Would like to have dinner there in about 3 weeks. |

Not too pricey lunch with parents for special occasion Thank you for that lovely review! The last time I went to Perry St was in August for dinner, so I have almost forgotten how good it was. |

Is there any difference between Landmarc in Tribeca and the one at the Time Warner Center? |

Where to go for his birthday? We've already been to: Suggestions for something we haven't tried yet? We're all in our 20s-30s so somewhere "young" would be nice, but its really great steaks we're after, not atmosphere. |

Help - I can't seem to find any threads on bar Q! Thanks in advance. |

Not too pricey lunch with parents for special occasion I want to plan a Sunday lunch with my parents. I am graduating law school, so it is a special occasion, but my parents are not accustomed to Manhattan-prices and I don't want to stretch their wallets too much for this, after they have already spent many years of tuition! They rarely eat out, and have been to few "nice" restaurants. I want this to be a nice treat, but I also don't want them to feel uncomfortable - prefer to avoid stuffy atmospheres and teeny tiny portions! Also looking for something that is not Asian/Asian-fusion or Italian (they have this frequently already). One option might be Perry St's $24 prefixe brunch/lunch. I have been to Perry St once for dinner and thought it was great, but never been there in the afternoon. How does Perry St compare to Fleur de Sel, which has a $29 3-course lunch tasting menu? Another option is to go somewhere for a great brunch. I love Jane for brunch (addicted to their Eggs Benedict on a crabcake and their Lobster Benedict). But I'd also consider going somewhere I've never been to before -- perhaps brunch at Eleven Madison Park (we would order a la carte from their brunch menu, not the $39 Market menu). Suggestions/Comments? |

Beijing Style Bolognese (ZhaJiang Mian) My friend has ordered this dish at Shanghai Cafe (100 Mott St) in Chinatown. Can't say if its good or not, I've never had it anywhere else, so I have nothing to compare it to. |

Just tried Cube63 this past weekend and it was great - 5 bottles of wine shared among 5 friends :) Special sushi rolls were pretty decent too. Only complaint - we had reservations for 8:30pm and were not fully seated until 9:15pm (I say "fully" because they gave us 1/2 a table soon after we arrived and told us we could get the adjacent table when the party occupying it was done -- so half my group was seated and the other half stood hovering around us awkwardly for 45 minutes while the adjacent party finished their remaining beer) |

Korean BBQ /Shabu/ REALLY GOOD Chinese-- Midtown or close for a culturally mixed group with kids For Korean BBQ, I like WonJo (for the meats), and there's space upstairs for large groups. KumGangSang might also be another option, since its also well-suited for large groups. 23 W.32nd St - http://www.wonjo32.com For Chinese, I'd say Congee Bowery is good for large groups, but its not in midtown... |

Searching for Eggs Benedict with Lobster? Its called the Lobster Benny at Jane, and its one of my favorites! And I agree with the above poster -- the Benedict Jane (eggs benedict on a crab and crawfish cake instead of an english muffin) is also awesome! |

Midtown coffee shop or place to study Anywhere in Midtown.... one of us lives just south of Central Park and the other is coming from Chelsea. Somewere in the mid-50s (east or west) would be great. |

Best BBQ, no reservations tonight Suggestions? Midtown preference, but will considering going further. |

Midtown coffee shop or place to study My previous searches have mostly found places mostly in/around the Village, but my friend and I live in midtown. Especially interested in places that are open late and places that don't mind patrons studying/writing papers, etc.! Thanks in advance. |
