MUST TRY!
Good morning from California...
I'm an Austinite by birth and thus, a Tex-Mex snob....but, sadly, I moved to California a few years back and am unable to fill my addiction to queso regularly. I'm flying in to Dallas this week and will be staying near SMU...could anyone recommend THE BEST Mexican, BBQ, and other especially delicious restaurants (lunch?!) that are MUST tries in the area?
Thanks a ton!
Happy Hour in Beverly Hills/West Hollywood/Hollywood
What are the best happy hours (food, drinks and price) in and around the Hollywood/West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area? Also, what are the best places for happy hour with entertainment? (For example: a friend and I went to Hollywood Billiards on Hollywood for happy hour - drinks ($3) food ($2 pizza!) and pool ($6/hr for a table).
THANKSGIVING?
great! called Campanile and they said to try them back in case they had a cancellation. Any other recommendations?
THANKSGIVING?
Folks,
My parents are flying in for Thanksgiving day and we won't have time to cook a Thanksgiving lunch/dinner. We're thinking of going out to a restaurant for the event. Anyone have any GREAT (under $50-75/person) places in the Bev Hills, West Hollywood, Hollywood, Santa Monica, even Malibu areas?
Chinatown eats
That sounds perfect! Thank you for the advice. One question: Whats the tchotchkes, how do you pronounce it, and where do you go to get one?
Chinatown eats
Looks great. Did some research and many said they cook differently for locals vs people they've never seen before. Any truth in this? Any way to get the 'local flavor'? Still open to other suggestions as well...
Chinatown eats
Looking for a nice, not too expensive, authentic Chinatown experience for lunch with my girlfriend on Saturday. I've never really been to Chinatown, only driven through briefly, so any recommendations would be helpful. (i.e. places to eat, safe parking, etc.)
Dinner on 2nd street area
Suggestions for a GREAT dinner ($20 or less per entree) in the 2nd street area downtown...or really anywhere close to that area thats not 6th street.
GREAT mexican, pizza, and thai near WeHo
Thanks all...looking forward to trying it all.
