Tempo closing
Ahh, Snooky's in the 70's. We used to walk up the hill from President & Nevins to drink there. And being 18 was a mere technicality. It was the place that everyone went to before they hit the Bay Ridge discos.

Visiting Natives need recs for Bklyn SI & Queens
Queen is still there on Court Street. I remember what you are talking about in the 70's it was a pizzeria and the restaurant was in the back. Now it is a very good Italian restaurant. No pizza in the front though.

Blue Ribbon on 5th Avenue between 1st and Garfield has a great raw bar.
Raw Clams/Oysters for sale in Brooklyn?
Brklynbobby, I could not agree with you more on Sea Breeze. We have reintroduced ourselves to Sea Breeze in the past month after moving back to Brooklyn from Manhattan. Last Saturday my husband said the oysters he got from them were fresh and delicious. They also had sea urchin which could not have been better. The 2 people who we served us the 2 times we have been there this month have been helpful and patient with any questions we had about origins of their seafood, etc. I highly recommend Sea Breeze.
Fresh Ricotta
Also for Bay Ridge A & S Pork Store on 5th off 86th Street (but I am not positive about this one so call).

Coluccio's on 60th Street between 12th & 13th Avenues.

Where can I find dungeness crabs in Brooklyn?
I have never made them and I want to try. Tnx.
seafood by the sea?
I second South Fin Grille. The seafood platters are great. There is a nice view of the Verrazano Bridge and it is easy to get to and very close to the bridge.
Yellow Hook Grill in old Lento's spot in Bay Ridge?
May I suggest the burgers and fries at O'Sullivans on 3rd and 89th Street. They are perfection. O'Sullivan's has a restaurant separate from the bar, perfect for us elderly couples.
Year of the Ox in Brooklyn?
Any info on what restaurants will be having New Years celebrations?
Bay Ridge Chip Shop - Gone
Happily, the Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights branches are still thriving.
ROYAL CROWN BAKERY--best breads?
The popular bread at Royal Crown is the round paneantico loaf. I don't know if it is the same as the Pugliese.
Caviar on Staten Island?
Does anyone know of a place where I can purchase? Thank you.
Mulino Bianco Cookies in Brooklyn?
I know what you mean about the customer service of some places but in defense of Coluccio's they are probably wall to wall with people buying Italian provisions for Christmas. It is a great store and worth a trip in my opinion. They are big time importers of well priced quality Italian provisions.
Mulino Bianco Cookies in Brooklyn?
They probably have them but call first to make sure.

Schnitzel Haus in Bay Ridge
I agree the waitress at Schnitzel Haus was great but there was only one waitress on the night we went and she was definitely overworked but most efficient.

Schnitzel Haus in Bay Ridge
The food at Schnitzel Haus is excellent stick to your ribs fare. The service on the night I was there was extremely slow but that is the only complaint I have ever heard about SH.
Spiciest Dish? (Any Cuisine)
Cumin Beef at the Grand Sichuan Restaurant in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Strips of beef dusted with cumin and other spices and deep fried. Add the shredded potatoes with hot pepper and vinegar they have and your mouth will most certainly be on fire.
