I'm looking for a romantic place where we won't necessarily feel rushed through our meal to make space for the next pair of diners. I guess something off of the beaten path a bit but still would make for an excellent dining experience. Craigie Street Bistro sounds perfect had it not moved to Central. I have a hotel reservation in the square so I'd like to stay local, but would be willing to walk a bit...
Bartley's Burger Cottage
I'm not sure if this has already been brought up but....
FK in huron village has an outdoor bbq every Saturday from 11am to 3pm for the duration of the summer, possibly into the fall but am not sure. They have a beautiful spread of racks and individual ribs, half chickens, pulled pork, pulled chicken and beef brisket in addition to delicious quarter pound and half pound hot dogs. There is cole slaw, bbq baked beans, and caramelized onions which taste like heaven. And for dessert there are grilled peaches which are outstanding.
The prices are reasonable, I got four ribs and a quarter pound dog with onions for $10. but the brisket is my fav thus far. with the onions of course, smothered in their bbq sauce all on a grilled roll, i think that was under $10
Enjoy! I've been a regular for the past month so far....
