We are spending a week on Block Island in April. Where to eat? What would be open then? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Good eats between Biddeford and Portland, including Saco and Old Orchard Beach

Heading to Maine for Memorial Weekend and back in July for a couple of weeks. What would be good, reasonable places for lunch or dinner? Any special offers? We like one "better" night out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Microbreweries

Sorry you didn't like Run of the Mill. We do. We have had good beer and good food there. Maybe you hit an "off" day.

Old Orchard Beach, ME

You might want to try Traditions in Saco for Italian or Mill on the Run in Biddeford near the wind vane. We like both. Traditions has become a tradition for us whenever we are in OOB. Mill on the Run has interesting pub food like a soup made with one of their beers. The beers we have tried have been delicious and very reasonably priced. Hout's, next to Wormwood's is good too. They are seasonal and have lots of fried seafood but serve seafood dishes that aren't fried. There early birds and happy hours are very reasonable and good- especially if you go when both are on. Yellowfin, in Ocean Park, was good the last time we were there. They have an eclectic menu with many fresh ingredients. They let you bring your own alcoholic beverage which keeps the price down. If you like breakfast, try Michelle's Garden Cafe. Its a small place and you may have to wait but we think is worth a wait. Many locals eat here. For pizza, we like Ocean Pizza and they deliver. Hope these help and that you enjoy your stay in Ocean Park.

Eating out in/near Old Orchard Beach, Maine

We are going to Old Orchard Beach, Maine for Memorial Day Weekend. Been to Traditions Sacco), Joseph's (OOB), Wormwood's and Huot's (in Camp[ Ellis) and Ocean Pizza (OOB)and Michelle's (OOB) for breakfast. Does anyone have any other suggests for a dinner or lunch in the OOB area? Thanks!

old orchard beach maine

Our favorites include Wormwoods and Huots in Camp Ellis for seafood and Wormwoods has an extensive menu covering everything. In OOB, our favorite pizza is Ocean Pizza (they also have dinners and specials), Michelle's Garden Cafe is great for breakfast and often haslines but worth the wait, Yellowfin is good but more $$ and you can bring your own bottle, Traditions in Sacco is a favorite for a nice but not too $$ dinner out. Captains Galley was good but not anything special.

And Moby Dick's is BYOB if you care for an alcoholic beverage.

We also love Moby Dick's for causal seafood- favorites are the Blooming Onion, fried oysters, fried scallops and fried fish and chips. Another Wellfleet favorite is Finely JP's- love the scallop pasta. If you are in Ptown try Ross' Grill in Whalers Wharf. (Stop by Christof's jewely on the way by. Love their jewerly where my husband gets great gifts for Christmas, my birthday, etc.) Never been disappointed in any of these. Enjoy your time at the Cape!!! Wish I was going too!!!

Stuffies - Where?!?!

If you are in Providence,RI, try Murphy's Irish Pub. I think they have moved or are going to move from their location behind the Biltmore to across from the convention center. They were delicious to me!!! Hope you enjoy them.
