Unusual yet delicious omelette fillings/combos? at one of my last jobs, we served a cream cheese and alfalfa sprout omelette. everyone loved it. we also served a greek with feta, spin, and your choice of mushrooms, oninons, or tomatoes. some weeks, would make a chorizo and cheese omellette that was also great. |

you cant miss mels hot dogs. it is the best. as for breakfast, i rec. lennys on u.s. 19 in clearwater. this place is amazing. there also is a place in largo called yannis, which boasts the best french toast in town. i have tried it and agree. if you want some no frills florida seafood, try crabby bills. there is one location in tampa, but the location on indian rocks beach is by far the best. frenchies, on clearwater beach is also great for casual seafood. if you are looking for a nicer rest., i would rec. salt rock grill or island way grill. |

Any suggestions for shrimp boil seasonings? one of the owners of a restaurant i used to work for used pickle juice to boil shrimp. we used to keep the juice from the 5 gallon pickle buckets for him. it sounded weird at first, but in fact is very delicious. kyle |

Mexican BREAKFASTS in St. Pete/Clearwater? there is a couple other places in tampa you might want to consider.El Rincon , at 4907 n. armenia ave serves huevos rancheros all day. i have yet to try them, however, the other food is great. if you like hot stuff, the hot salsa (by request) is awesome, as is the quacamole. there is another small taqueria, just east of el tacnazo, on the same side of hillsborough. i have not gone in to try it yet, but it looks very authentic. also, you may already know, but armenia ave in general, has many small mexican tiendas that also serve fresh food. |

i would rec. trappmans seafood on gandy blvd. it is right next to the crab shack, which is a great seafood shack. trappmans has some of the freshest seafood around. they also carry spices , sauces, some steaks, wine, some cheese, batters, etc. etc. .....they are always very helpful and can answer any questions you may have about seafood and/or preparation of seafood... |
