Hi, We are staying in West Maui for 6 days and want to try the best places in or close to Honokowai or Kaanapoli.
Looking for both up scale and hole in the walls. Seafood, sushi and thai are some preferences.
Pacafico is on the list because I was there many years ago, love to hear if it is still great.

What is worth the visit in downtown Mesa?

Criollo Latin Kitchen, Pato thai, Brix, Hiro Sushi and Josephine's are all good choices!

Hi we were there not too long ago and had lunch at Pato Thai and dinner at Criollo Latin Kitchen. They were both excellent and we would go back next time we are in town. I hear good things about Brinx and Josephine's but have not been there yet.

I noticed that some places are offering prix fixe or tasting speicals. Charlie Palmer had one that shows it ends this week.

Is anyone aware of one that continues through the entire month of April?

Hi, I'll be in Vegas in a few weeks for two nights. We are foodies and would like suggestions on where to get an excellent meal. We would like to stay on the Strip and will be at New York/New York.

Our goal is $100 per person or less. Is that possible?? Sounds like Lotus of Siam is on our list and we are considering B&B. What would you suggest? We both love seafood and don't usually go to Steakhouses.

HI, Not sure if I missed your vacation... I found the food at the palace resorts to be very good. I stayed at the Sun Palace and thought their food was excellent.

How about Tiramisu Ristorante at Scottsdale and Shea! Not much to look at, but I have had wonderful seafood there.
Tutti Santi is also an excellent choice. As is John Henry's in Tempe.

I suggest China King and Tao Garden. Tao Garden has wonderful seafood dishes. In Tempe I still like going to Wongs Place.

98 South re opened on April 3rd with a limited menu

It looks like Zest has closed down and the owners opened a new place in Chandler. Nouveau Bistro. It is near Chandler Mall just west of the 101.

Excellent food and great prices. I know I'll be going a lot and I wanted to let everyone know. Looks like they have not had their grand opening yet. I am excited to have another addition to the East Valley.

Marcellino in Phoenix has the best ink pasta with seafood. They may be closed for a part of the summer though.

Does anyone know what Sushi restauants make their rolls with real crab? I keep finding "krab" and mayo and they are horrible.

I had dinner there a few weeks ago and thought it was great. I had pasta with shrimp and salmon. I plan on going again soon.
I tried Brunello, Baseline and Dobson, last night. Not bad. I'll have to keep them on the list too!

I'll be in San Diego in June staying at Pacific beach. Any suggestions for great Seafood, Mexican or Italian? I don't mind driving if it is not too far.

I have been to Po Pazzo, Cafe Pacifica and Gran Tapa. All excellent! So if you know any others that I may like I would love to hear about them!

I went to Eleve last night and I really enjoyed my meal. I had the Scallops and it was wonderful! My friend had the Stuffed Chop and I thought that was great too. The service was excellent.
I will be sure to go back and try one of their other dishes.

I also vote for Durants. But consider the Grill. They have the best dry aged steak.

So I will start another one. Where is the best place for sushi in Phoenix area? The last place I really enjoyed is Ayako at the Biltmore and they closed. :( I did enjoy Shimagamo on Warner.

I don't know what board this should be on but I need to defend Tomaso's on Camelback in Phoenix. I can't count how many times I have been over the years and just about every meal was excellent. Service was wonderful. I'll even choose it over Tarbell's (right next to it) for consistency.
Now I can't say the same for the one in Chandler. I will not go there again. I have no idea how these locations can be so different. I believe the Camelback is the first location.

I have been a few times and always enjoyed the food. They fill up fast though and I can't say it is the best service. But good food!

I went for the first time last week and I loved it!!
