A Michelin place in Eze, France; a place at the tippy top of a building in Hong Kong; and, the deep dark kitschy cavern of Casa Vega in Sherman Oaks.
My current drink of choice:
Whatever - good wine of any appelation. And a new champagne drink called a 1940's.
I really wish I could:
Nothing - I do everything I want to do. I don't mean that to sound snotty or anything. It's just that I live how I want. I enjoy food, wine, friendship & exploring new places and incorporate that into my daily life no matter what - you just gotta do what makes you happy and not sit around wishing about it.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
None, I hate bringing dishes - I'd rather eat out and try new places.
My favorite comfort food:
Lately it's Polish food for me - pierogies, latkes, challah bread, poppyseed babka...stuff grandma used to make.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
I'm not liking anything at the moment. Totally bored with the same old same old. Exploring lots of places in NYC these days.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Many but not for cooking, to salivate looking at the photos and to resell thru my online bookselling biz. The collection is awesome with many kitschy classics.
