Best Chinese take-out central Phoenix?

I love MuShu Asian Grill on Thomas & 15th Ave. Nice neighborhood joint, no nonsense waitstaff and tasty tasty meals at good prices. A revamp of the menu a few months ago added my new fave: thai beef w/ string bean. Yum.

phx : palatte, second try

I'm with starlightjulian... RIGHT OUT OF THE RESTAURANT. If the owner can't accept a little constructive criticism, I can't give him my hard-earned greenbacks.

Pop the Soda Shop (PHX)

"(there's one with a red cap that's hot hot hot!)"

What's the name? I like the spicy ginger beer from POP!

Is there life in Laveen?

The wife and I will be relocating to Laveen soon. I like local food and ethnic markets, but at first glance it appears that we'll be making a drive for dinner. I haven't had much time to explore the neighborhood, so I may have missed some foodie gems. Any help would be appreciated!

PHX: 10 Minutes to Grab Lunch

I dig Yasda Bento on Adams, a great stop for tasty and fast rice bowls - the tempura veggies and gyoza are delicious. Sticklers, on Washington between city hall and the Muni courthouse is pretty quick too, if you order ahead. They serve up fine sandwiches and a mean cup of fresh, homemade chili.

Girls' Day Out Around San Diego

I just took a trip out to SD from PHX. If you don't mind driving down around the bay to OB, check out Hodad's on Newport Ave. Best burger I've ever eaten and only steps from the beach!

Fave Tortas in PHX?

On 19th ave and Camelback there's a little place called Salsitas - just a tiny little booth, (it's like a sauna in the summertime) but they turn out some of the best tortas in the 'hood. I like the jamon or the carne asada - they sear it up on a little grill behind the counter, then add whatever toppings you want.

Cilantro Margarita @ La Tradiciones PHX

Did somebody say MOLE enchiladas? Cilantro margaritas? I'm looking for my car keys already...

Miller Chill?

Living here in the desert sun in PHX, I can probably say that this will be popular in my area. Miller Chill is a sweet, fruity watery mess that leaves you licking the salt off your lips. This will be good at a barbecue in the dead of summer or as a lawnmower beer, but don't expect a full flavored beer.

Favorite Beer in America?

I'm with LordOfTheGrill - Sierra Nevada Pale is always consistent, affordable and available. I love a lot of different beer styles and I'm not afraid to try any beer, but if we're talking about favorites, then it's SNPA.

East Coast beer recommendations needed

The Shipyard Brewing Company in Portland, ME turns out some worthy brews - they're further north than you're headed, but their fresh bottles and kegs should be available, especially in Boston. Don't expect anything as strong or as hoppy as our beloved West Coast brews, but the export and the IPA are really tasty. Allagash Brewing, also in ME, makes lovely Belgian ales.

Homemade Limoncello question

I suppose this is blasphemy, but I like to make it with vodka - maybe I can't call it limoncello. Purchase 750mL of vodka. Sample about 2oz. of vodka. Load 1/2 to 3/4 cup loosely packed citrus zest (I love a blend of oranges, lemons and limes) into the bottle. Let it rest in your pantry for a week for full flavor.
