Taco Truck open again in Manchester(NH)
Was driving down Lake Ave heading downtown yestersday and spotted the Taco truck on the corner of Lake Ave and Maple St. It's in the parking lot of Hans Market(not sure if that is the name). I didn't have a chance to stop, but will definately be there soon. The best tacos and burritos around !!!

Where to find New Zealand Lamb?
I have found NZ lamb at Stop & Shop on Valley St in Manchester. Just bought rack of lamb this week. I have also found leg of lamb and goat there. Always very good. I think because of it's location( inner city), it's serves a diverse population and carries things you might not otherwise find.
What's happened to the Common Man
Visited the Windham location about a month ago. First time ever that we actually left a restaurant after being seated because nothing on the menu interested us.

Decided to try Pochito's Restaurant the other night and all I can say is save your money. The food was very bland. I had a chicken and chorizo sausage dish. The chicken looked like it was blanched chicken pieces and I swear the chorizo was actually kielbasa. It came with rice and beans, both of which had no flavor. Now I know good Mexican is not necessarily spicy, but it shoud be flavorful!!! I must say, however, that the Margarita's were delicious. Think I'll stick to my usual go to, La Careta......

I'll give a nod to Bellagio Pizza. It's the closest Ive found to the real deal.

No, the cheese did not squeak, but it doesn't have to in a poutine. I don't think you can get curd cheese that squeaks in the States. It has to be super fresh and not have been refrigerated for it to squeak.

Yes, it's only been open a few weeks. Also tried their steak and cheese, but it was not up to snuff. Poutine is definately worth though.

To all you poutine lovers out there, I have just had the best poutine I have ever had this side of the border. It's a place called Bellagio Pizza on the corner of Beech and Valley. The place is nothing fancy, but the taste was spot on. Fresh cut fries, curd cheese and the sauce(gravy) is authentic. The owner says he gets his gravy straight from Montreal. Definately blows Chez Vachon away.

I definately agree that Cremeland has a good burger. Also have had a great burger and T-Bones in Bedford. Can still get it medium-rare. Not too many places wiling to cook to order anymore.
ISO Great/Local Produce-Manchester NH south to Andover
Believe it or not, I find that Stop &Shop on Valley St has a really good produce department. I think it may be because of the high volume of immigrant shoppers. People from other countries seem to eat so much healthier(ie not alot of precessed food) than us Americans. The produce is always fresh with a great variety.

I like Goldenrods on Candia Rd. in Manchester. Best peanut butter fudge icecream. I 'll give a nod to Cremeland too. They make a rum raisin that good.

Heard thru the rumor mill that they are not doing well and may close. Maybe they are realizing they better get their @#%$ together. With so many great choices downtown, no need to put up with mediocre food and service.

Good Bakeries in New Hampshire
I agree with SuperGrover, the Dutch Epicure has great desserts. The chocolate mousse torte is out of this world. Chocolate cake, filled with chocolate, topped with chocolate ganache. Yummmmmmm
Greek Grocery In NH?
I'm not sure where you're located, but there are a few small Greek markets in Manchester. One is one Orange St. near Pine St. The other is on Spruce St. near Union St. That one is called Bakolas Market. Both have some very unique items.

Fishman is back at the traffic circle now. Fridays and Saturdays only. For meats, we also like Bull Run in Hooksett, not too far from the north end. Also, this weeks Hippo has the Best of edition out this week. Check it out.

I love the Greek chicken lemon rice at Theo's on Elm St in Manchester. I usually add more lemon. It seems to cure what ever ails you.
