I'm looking to try a new breakfast restaurant. i usually go to the beach on the weekend and end up eating at the same breakfast restaurant. any suggestions? preferably by the beach area? santa monica, venice, manhattan, marina del ray?

My co-worker took me to this Vietnamese noodle restaurant in lawndale. here's my review - i had ,not sure the name but it was #1 on the menu, this soup noodles that had chicken, shrimp, pork, krab meat and fish balls. There were also all kinds of condiments to go with it. I took some pictures as well. The food was pretty good and very different than Pho. Since i've never had any other types of Vietnamese food, this was an awesome find. Is there any other types of Vietnamese cuisine that anyone would recommend?

i'd say c&o or fritto misto.

c&o is a good place for a bigger party, the outside patio is heated so you dont 'have to worry about it being cold and it's also in the middle of 2 buildings so it's not really all the windy.

fritto misto is a smaller restaurant but the food is good and the price is reasonable. i had a party of 30 there once so i think they can do 50. it's in santa monica.

that's across the street from my work and i've had lunch at every single restaurant there.

yah, i had taiko yesterday, it's pretty good but my lunch was $15.

i have about 45 mins to an hour for lunch so sometimes i can make a trip to redondo but it's mostly el segundo/manhattan.

i've been working in el segundo for almost 2 years and have tried most of the restaurants around the rosecrans area.

pachanga, red sesame, sansai, qdoba, L&L, joey's bbq, cpk, corner bakery..... what else should i try?

it is time for me to find a new restaurant. any suggestions?

i love both and they are very different so i can't just pick one.

hollywood! the best thai food is in thai town.

best burger - hinano in venice (just mins from santa monica) it's such a dive bar and the burger is out of this world.

for a nice dinner - james beach, it's right by the beach and the food is great

for breakfast - the omelette parlor on main st. is a local's favorite

italian - go to fritto misto, 601 Colorado Ave or c&o, the place is fun and the food is decent.

indian - akbar on wilshire, the food is great

everyone keeps telling me how great pinkberry is so i decided to try it and it was ok. i paid $7.40 for a large cup of frozen yogurt and don't feel like it was worth it. if i get a small one then i'm not satisfy. some of the toppings are fresh like the strauberries and mango but seriously, i don't think it's all that great.

Try Telesai on Sunset and Doheny. it's pretty upscale. i used to work there for a bit and i'd see a lot of celebrities going there. The food is great. i love the rib eye with the basil spicy sauce on top. the price is up there as well as the quality. i highly recommend it if you have the money.

the chicken pezzimolo is awesome! if i lived closer to pasadena, i'd be going there every day!

this is my favorite restaurant! I love all their skewers! especially their garlic sprouts.

For a good Thai restaurant try Narai Thai on Firestone Blvd. Food is great and the lunch specials are a good deal. Try their sangria!
