Looking for Lunch/Brunch today in NYC..Sunday, somewhere near to Grand Central
Looking to take an out of town friend to lunch/brunch...whatever you can get on a Sunday at 3pm somewhere near to Grand Central where we are meeting. Price mid, doesn't have to be cheap but not to expensive either. Someplace where we can sit and chat a while....it can even be a really nice coffee shop\pastry type place where we can keep warm...not interested in Starbucks..

Las Vegas eating for family, does not have to be on strip
Hi, we will be going soon to Vegas on vacation, family in tow, my older is fairly open but my little one still likes kids menu's. We are staying off strip at a time share and will have a car so restaurants do not have to be on strip, off or on is ok by us.
Breakfast all kinds (would like to do one nice brunch with kids)
Dinner - will do 1 nice one for just Hubby and me, the rest with kids in tow.
I am like Rachel Ray, will wander for good food, but needs to be family friendly too!

NJ-287/80 Junction within 20 mins or so
it will probably be 7 of us and I am thinking middle of the road as far as price. We did Penang's a couple of times and love it just time to try something new. I will eat just about anything besides Indian, that is the one cuisine I never developed a taste for.

Looking for a meeting place for a birthday celebration nice lunch with family. A good area would be within 20 mins of the 287/80 Junction area of NJ as we are in CT and others from Deleware Gap area....anyone have any suggestions? Open to various ethnic foods or ideas.

Up for Breakfast, Manchester VT - not to be missed
Just back from a weekend in the Manchester Vt area. After some last minute holiday shopping stopped for a late breakfast at the small restaurant called Up for Breakfast. The hardest part was figuring out what to order watching the plates and smells go bye. I ended up ordering a special of Ginerbread apple French toast, it was fresh and delicious with a drop of carmelized brown sugar and candied warm bananas, absolutely delicious. The pancakes going bye looked like the best. It is a small place with a waiting list but worth the wait on the weekends!
Brunch near MSG after Wintuk with kids
For just me and my husband it looks good, but I don't know if the kids will appreciate the menu, maybe the chocolate fondue! I might save this for another time when my husband and I are on our own. Thank you for your advice and the link.

Anyone been to Bobby Flay's Bolo lately, comments?
thank you for your opinion, we don't mind spending the money but want the experience and food to go along with it. Last year we took my nephew to Mesa for his 18th Birthday, and while that seems unusual for an 18 year old boy he is studying at Johnson & Wales, the same Culinary school that Flay came out of. I mentioned this to the Maitre D before we sat down and they were very kind to us and even let myself and my nephew tour the kitchen and met the sous chef, our food was very good and I love the presentation. Our experience was enjoyable and my nephew walked out thrilled with pictures of everything, he is like a son to me so that was worth everything.

Thank you for the insight, I read your link. I think I am just looking for some fun in coming to one of Flay's restaurants as I watch FoodTV quite often. My husband and I had been to his Mesa Grille about a year ago and was pleased.

Help me understand New Haven Pizza!!
wannabe, you know I grew up in NYC too (Bronx), have always been what people in CT call a pizza snob. Have not found a really great pie in Norwalk where I live. I keep saying I just have to get up to New Haven to see what all the hub bub is all about. Maybe since the weather is getting better it is time to wait in line, do a pie and then take the family for dessert at Libby's. I miss good italian pastry too!
