Detroit and Michigan traditions?

Sorry, folks, but I had city chicken in Conn. (made by my Polish mother who was a PA native) and in Pennsylvania many decades ago. Detroit didn't invent it.

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner (north of Detroit)

My son and daughter in law had their rehearsal dinner at Dave & Buster's in Utica. They had a private room with a nice buffet but the best part was the fun everyone had afterward in the game area. Food was good, but casual. I'd suggest it for a fun crowd.

Looking for Ann Arbor dinner recs

I second either West End Grill or Logan's (prefer the former) - great food, interesting menu, quiet & sophisticated ambiance and knowlegeable waitstaff. Can't go wrong.

Eating out in Michigan (Ann Arbor, Dearborn)

Try the West End Grill in Ann Arbor for exquisite food and service. Fine dining. And for good authentic Italian try Paesano's in Ann Arbor.

Noe Valley?

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I'm salivating just reading the menus of the various places mentioned.

Noe Valley?

Suggestions on MUST restaurants, cafes, etc. in and around Noe Valley? We'll be there next month for 5 days staying in the area. No preference re style, price, cuisine, just excellence important - kick-ass gourmet to hole-in-the-wall is fine.

My Google Map of North Naples

Have you discovered any excellent bakeries in that area? NOT chains, nor bagel places, but real bakeries with berry tarts and Napoleons and butter cookies, etc.

Bonita Springs area bakeries

I'm looking for good quality bakeries in the Bonita Springs - Estero area. I'm not talking about bagel or bread stores, I mean bakeries that offer Napoleons, mini fruit tarts, cakes made with real butter and real whipped cream topping -- the kind you'd find in an ethnic neighborhood up north. Any out there?
