Tazzina's, a New Restaurant, Is Coming to Glendale Went to Tazzina for dinner tonight. The food was very good. We shared the crispy calamari appetizer, then I had cavatelli, my husband had the branzino, For dessert we shared the molten lava cake. Everything was delicious. They do not have a liquor license yet-really would have liked a glass of wine with dinner. The menu is small, but I am looking forward to going back to try some of the other items. They are going to have Sunday Supper-meatballs, sausage and pasta-will definitely return to try that. ----- |

Suggestions for 60th Anniversary - Italian - Brooklyn If you are still looking I would suggest La Locanda 432 Graham ave 718-349-7800. They have a lovely back room for private groups. I had my daughters college graduation dinner there. They served everything family style. It is a family run place and they treat everyone like you are part of their family. I had ages infant to 82. It is all one level. I had 30 people and there was plenty of room. ----- |

If you're looking for Italian-La Tavernetta is very close and they have great food at reasonable prices. The place is very small and lacks atmosphere but the food makes up for that. They are at 7501 88th ST, phone # 718-896-3538. |

Luger's - 6/25/07 (Shortage of Prime Beef) [moved from Manhattan board] Peter Luger actually sent letters dated June 4, 2007out to customers with credit card accounts. The letter states: This is the letter-word for word. My parents went without a reservation 2 weeks ago and were able to order the porterhouse. They do know the waiters there and do have a Peter Luger credit card. |

Outdoor Dining in Brooklyn or Queens? I recently tried La Vuelta in LIC. They have a very nice backyard patio. Their menu is vegetarian-friendly. You can check their website - www.lavueltabistro.com. I was referred by someone on this site and was very pleased. They have great sangria and where else can you get a seafood paella for $16.50. |
