Central Park Shakespeare Cheap Birthday

I'm taking 8 High School kids from out of town to see Hair. We're set for picnic on line, but I was wondering if for dinner there's a cheap place nearby (like pizza cheap), east or west side, which might be a bit more interesting, fun, or hospitable than the typical joint. Doesn't have to be pizza, falafel or the like could work if its cheap and good.

Thanks in advance.

Chez Gnagna Koty's?

Is this restuarant still open? I have called the phone number and get a packing company. Does anyone have the number to the restuarant, but more important once again does it still exist on 9th Ave. between 39th and 40th? Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.

a little different, upper west side or mid-town west?

Looking for reasonably priced interesting place, nice to sit at, good food of course. Could be Tapas or Mediterranean, but am open to suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you Fingul. That's the one.

Lancaster area riverfront?

Thanks, but that wasn't it. It was further out of town, bordering on an "upscale" suburb, near a country club, I think.

Lancaster area riverfront?

Hello All -

Two questions, and thanks in advance. First, I was at a place last summer, just outside Lancaster, which served dinner on a large patio overlooking a small river, near a bridge, I think. Food was decent, atmosphere pleasant. There was a bar outside, too. I can't remember the name or where it was. Anyone know the place?

Second, I will be back in the area with my wife and 15 year old daughter to drop my daughter off at camp. Can anyone recommend an interesting place for dinner?

college-bound kid, upper west side

Looking for an interesting spot, not too expensive, good food, between 86th and 100th to take a kid who is eyeing NYC for college. Maybe she'd like not only to eat, but also to see a bit of what life might look like if she were to come here.

Thanks

West Village Italian

Hello, and thanks in advance for the help. I have family coming in from Alabama who once upon a time, as children, were Brooklyn Italian. They long for a homey place, that will seat 7, for an early Saturday dinner. The food's got to be good, but doesn't have to be inventive. Old style atmosphere would count for a lot, but a bald tourist trap would not do. West Village is best, or close. Ideas, anyone?

Thanks -
