favorite fries?

My favorite!

favorite fries?

Our local Hardee's doesn't carry the curly fries anymore :(

A Trader Joe's Care Package

I am sorry. I must not have been reading thoroughly when I posted my list.

Are You Snacking on Anything Right Now?

Found some rice crackers when I went to Super G Mart that was a bit different from the normal. Kim Chi flavor and they are addicting. Maybe I should have bought more of those then the Calbee shrimp chips in hot garlic.

What did you have for lunch today?

This is what I want for lunch but Popeyes isn't close by at all. Closest one is over an hour away and it just doesn't taste the same anymore.

Help Me Like Sam's Club

Just used my Visa there on May 18 but it has to be a debit card not a Visa credit card.

Can you Mail Oreo Truffles?

It depends on when you are mailing them. I don't see why they can't be mailed as long as they are kept pretty cool. Because not everyone is going to refrigerate them after they get it but it can be.

McDonald's Cherry Berry Chiller - YUM

I like it but mine melted too quickly. I was inside majority of the time in a nice cool area but mine was basically juice after 15 minutes.

Speculoos cookie butter!
Chili Mango
Turkey Jerky-Teriyaki

How far are you willing to drive for a good restaurant?

I use to drive 30+ minutes just to go out to eat but usually it would be tagged onto a shopping trip. Farthest I have ever driven to go eat was 2 hours because me and my friends were all craving Vietnamese and we didn't want to cook it. And closest Vietnamese restaurant at that time was 2 hours away, at least we were able to get Asian groceries while we were at it.

Refills To Go at Sit Down Restaurants

I think it is fine. We own a restaurant and see plenty of people ask for to go cups and we specifically ask people if they want a to go cup or a refill if they are buying take out before they leave.

Admit it....You go to Ikea just for lunch.

This is my main reason for going back to Ikea. Well that and the Daim candies. But I don't think they carry that anymore.

Was finally able to get a couple bags of the Soft & Juicy Mango today and it is a product of Thailand. Hope that helps.

Places for rehearsal dinner in Charlotte

I like Zink. But they have good and bad days. Dinner service has been better then brunch. We had many more misses at brunch with food coming out cold. But I haven't been to dinner there since Dec 2011. Last time I had their lobster mac and cheese and it was very decadent. Time before that I had their Wagyu burger and it was out of this world! Looking at their current menu makes me want to go back.

What did you have for breakfast today?

Sausage and egg crossanwich from Burger King and a caramel frappe since I had a 1.5 hr drive for work this morning.

I don't know if they come from the Philippines or not. But there are 3 different kinds of mango. One is called Soft & Juicy, Just Mango and Chili Spiced Mango. I think my co-worker may still have a bag at home and I will ask her to look. I know the Just Mango says it is a product of Mexico. The chili spiced mango does not have a country of origin.

They told me by the end of April is when they are expecting it at this distribution center for NC which I think comes out of VA. I just been looking for them since February and haven't been able to get my fix. :(

american chinese food cravings?

Mine is probably more like every couple weeks. In some ways it sorta sucks to get those cravings since majority of the people I hang out with now are Chinese or Taiwanese, so I can't go get junky Chinese food since they grew up on the real deal and would scoff at eating junky Chinese food. But I guess it is a trade off since now I can go eat dim sum more often since they do crave that.

The BBQ popped chips are my favorite in the world. Too bad they were out the last time I went to TJ's.

I am praying that they will have my Soft & Juicy Mango in stock the next time I go back to TJ's. They have been out of stock for at least a month now. :(

Greenville to Asheville--where to eat along the way? Plus Asheville itinerary help.

We went to LAB almost a year ago now and our visit wasn't that great. We all loved our drinks but the food was less than stellar. We were starving by the time we got our food. And it was a touch on the salty side for me with my sliders. Hopefully they have improved by now.

That Crockpot Meatball Recipe that Has Grape Jelly In It

I don't know if I have had this version. But the version my work mom gave me to make was bbq sauce, grape jelly, honey and mustard. I like to use honey bbq sauce to eliminate the honey. Still really good. But I want to make it with a spicy bbq one day because the grape jelly is too sweet for my liking.

CHARLOTTE: Soup Dumplings???

Both Dim Sum restaurant and Dynasty have them. Dynasty has a better version then Dim Sum restaurant. Dim Sum restaurant xiao long bao does not have as much soup as Dynasty but neither restaurant serve it with the soup spoon, black vinegar or ginger. I prefer Dim Sum restaurant version only because I don't care as much for the soup as I do for the dumpling as a whole.

Dynasty is ok for some items. The only items I really like from their dim sum is the baked bbq pastry and the har gow. Everything is hit or miss depending. The first time I went was on New Year day and the service wasn't good and the food took a long time to come out to the back room where we were situated. My friend who has eaten there many many times since then said the service and food is better so I guess I will need to do a return visit. But I still have so many more favorites at Dim Sum restaurant that was not present at Dynasty.

Help! I need recipe ideas that are soy, dairy, salt and meat free.

I am very surprise by this too. My doctor did not restrict my diet at all except right after my surgery and I just had surgery less than 2 weeks ago.

Are you a dessert person or not ?

For me it depends. Most of the time I don't order dessert after dinner if we are going out. But if we are eating at home or at a party I typical do since I am normally the one that brings dessert. Unless there is something on the menu that I must absolutely have, I rather not have the dessert unless it is a couple hours later and we are going somewhere after dinner.

canned tuna--what do you like to do with it (healthy)?

Do you have a recipe for this? This sounds really interesting and I would love to be able to bake them/

What do you do with quail eggs?

This is my favorite way of eating quail eggs. We usually try to buy canned ones if possible but we have found some bad cans recently so we haven't bought them in a while.

Mardi Gras 2012 ...what are you making or baking?

I wish I could have everything listed! Unfortunately I have to fast today for surgery tonight or I would have had my cousin send me a king cake.

Meh to the savory thin mini edamame crackers. This was my 1st time having them and they were just ok. I don't think I will seek them out again. Probably a really good vehicle for a dip though.

It's Girl Scout cookie season!!

Thin Mints are my favorite of all time but I think I am going to try the Dulce de Leche this time though.

Do you have a favorite I'm-alone-now-so-nobody-will-know favorite dish?

One of my favorite meals during Lent. We take a can of that saute some onions and put the sardines in that. I either eat it with rice and pickled mustard greens or in a french baguette or Vietnames bread with pickles. Yum!
