How to Cook in High Heels

About this name business--I had a girl in my class whose name was spelled the same way, and she asked the prof to say it just like the interviewer did-- "Nwen".

The best of Portland?

I'm going to Portland for a trip at the end of June and will be spending time near the Oregon Convention Center. What are the best restaurants in that vicinity? Or, more hopefully, the cheapest and best? What are some restaurants in the rest of the city that I simply must visit?
Thanks!

Brunch in Ann Arbor?

Angelo's for the thing that everyone likes and waits in line for; Cafe Zola downtown is good and sophisticated brunchy stuff.

Red Sea on Washtenaw is another (slightly cheaper) option for Ethiopian. Delicious!

Ann Arbor Birthday Spot Recs?

I went to Pacific Rim for my birthday last year and it was delicious and had great service; however, it might have too much seafood because of the Asian-fusion thing.

Ann Arbor Restaurants

Silvio's Organic Pizza is where I always go for a slice. They're open until 3am, and they have some of the best pizza and pasta I've ever had. It's run by Silvio himself, and he comes from a family of bakers so the crust is actually delicious and well-made (unlike most places). The toppings are interesting and it's a great deal. I'll just say this: I ate a similar piece of pizza at the cafe in Chez Panisse.
