Where can i find the best chicken shawarma?

Shwarma Empire is the best I've had (Lawrence and Pharmacy). The only one I've found downtown is the new Ali Baba's on Peter St. south of Richmond. It's pretty good, but not as good as Empire.....

Any recommendations regarding where to go to lunch near the ROM??

One of my favourites in the area is Fieramosca on Prince Arthur - great Italian food.

Tilda basmati rice toronto

I've seen it at Metro at Kennedy Commons in Scarborough, so you might try contacting them and see if there is a closer store that carries it.

good food at niagara falls, canada? [Moved from Canada board]

There is a Keg Steakhouse in the Embassy Suites which is a 5 minute walk from your hotel. It overlooks the falls and although the Keg is not normally a place I would suggest, if you're looking for a steak dinner with a great view, we really enjoyed it. They don't take reservations, but there is a bar.

Toronto - Whole Foods

It's a great grocery experience, particularly for organic products. But if you're just looking for soy products, you'll find them in grocery stores.

Any recommended cooking courses?

I've tried Dish and quite enjoyed it. It wasn't a hands on course, but was suited to a smaller group (we sat at the bar/table and watched someone else cook). Calphalon is also fun. For real hand on learning, George Brown is great. And you can earn a certificate at the end of it!
