Rosa Mexicano-Union Square Review

I really like how huge the dining room is. It's a pity you left before dessert. The chocolate soufflé with tomatillo sauce is to die for. I agree that the tuna salad is gross.

dinner for four very different diets

the menu at Crispo looks like it would really fit the bill, without being boring. mmmmm. thank you.

dinner for four very different diets

I posted earlier about needing a restaurant for a picky stepmom, but now my dad has informed me that he has been eating vegan for two weeks and doesn't intend to stop. This is the man whose favorite taco used to be brain. So now I need a restaurant that can accomidate a picky eater (she eats plain steak, barbequed or roasted chicken, vegetable lasagna, spaghetti, salmon, and sometimes whitefish), rarely does she deviate from this limited menu), a born again vegan, and me and my mom who eat most things (we love seafood). My mom has to eat mostly heart healthy food, but that's usually not that difficult.

Is there any restaurant in the world, or New York that can accomidate these crazy people?

A relaxed upscale environment and a cost of no more than 50$ a person not including drinks would be good. A family that would eat normal food would be better.

any ethnic food is fine as long as there is something resembling plain meat for the stepmom.

Graduation dinner for picky parent

I'll be graduating soon and my parents will all be coming. I'm looking for a place to take my family for dinner the day after I graduate. My mom, my dad and I are all up for pretty much anything. My stepmom on the other hand is a steak and plain baked potato kind of lady. Another complication is that the only meat I eat is fish and fowl. Can anyone recomend a moderately nice, reasonably priced (about 50 bucks or less per person including dessert and shared appetizers (excluding drinks)) restaurant that would suit three adventerous foodies, but still have something, for my picky step?

upscale, but friendly atmosphere would suit us best. Since both of my parents and my stepmom will be there we would like to avoid any restaurant with too much of a romantic vibe. any neighborhood is fine.

Great food, great view in SEA?

Cutter's and The Columbia Club restaurant.

Times Square/Theater district for out of towners?

Havana Central on 46th b/w 6th and 7th has yummy cuban food and even yummier drinks. They also have live music, but I'm not sure on what nights.

grilled cheese and blackberry shake?

This is pretty specific, but does anyone know of a place where I can get a grilled cheese sandwich with a blackberry milkshake in Manhattan?

Graduation Dinner

I like Rosa Mexicano North of Union Square. You should know that it is a chain, but it doesn't feel like it, OR TASTE LIKE IT. The atmosphere is half fun half fancy. The pomegranate margaritas are really good, but really strong. The chocolate soufflé with tomatillo sauce is my favorite dessert ever.

Indigenous southern Oregon grub

I know you posted this a million years ago, but Chateaulin buys all of their meat from organic farms in the region and a lot of its produce from the valley. The food is amazing and the waitstaff is charming and professional. Morning Glory buys organic produce from the valley. We traded some of our organic cherry and pear tomatoes for meals there. Morning Glory is the best breakfast place in the valley, and in my opinion Chatealin is the best place for dinner.

Best restaurants in Medford, Oregon?

Also, do yourself a favor and don't eat any Chinese food in the valley. The Thai food is good for some reason.

Best restaurants in Medford, Oregon?

It is a myth that there is no good food in Medford. Vinny's Italian Kitchen is really good. Jackson Creek Pizza is good, but expensive and probably out of your way. Ali's thai has great red curry. Guadalahara has really good soups (your basic caldo de pollo and albondagas), but almost everything else is a cheesey fake Mexican mess. Samovar was great, but I think they closed (I haven't been home in a while). The most overrated places in Medford are that horrible japanese grill downtown and that horrible place by the train tracks.

In Jacksonville I cannot speak highly enough of McCully House.

In Ashland you should make a special effort to go to Chateaulin, it's right of the plaza, the waiters are really professional and the food is always prepared perfectly. It's expensive, but it's worth it. If price is an issue just order French Onion soup or one of their amazing salads, they also don't mind splitting a dish on two plates for you. The apple cider they have there is great. I'm ordering it for my graduation party. I've been going there since I was six years old and I just love them. Alex's is nice if you like steak or drinking. They also have good salads. Quinz is really great. Thai Pepper is good- go for lunch. The Breadboard is good for breakfast. Morning Glory is amazing, but very busy for breakfast. I've never eaten at Monet, but I took a cooking class taught by the chef and the food was great. If you get tired of sit down meals and just want good basic food go to Senior Sam's and get a Jr. Big Burrito (which is more gigantic than the name implies). The one in Ashland is better than the one in Medford, but the one by the Tinsletown Cinema is the best in Medford.

But mostly Chateaulin. I've heard the atmosphere at New Sammy's leaves something to be desired. It was basically an unadvertized hangout for wealthy people in the know, which is not my cup of tea. They've remodeled so maybe their vibe is different now, but I won't go there.
Chateaulin.
