Atlantic City...reccomendations?

No need to be afraid of AC. Great place to eat, drink, gamble, and entertainment, My favorite non-casino restaurants are Knife & Fork, Dock's Oyster House, and Angeloni's.

Trinity and the Pope Asbury

Marilyn had it about a week and sold the building. I read she will hold the liquor license. Johnny Mac intends to run it for the gay community.

Summer Beers 2011

Victory's Summer Love is my choice this summer.

Atlantic City No-no's?

Sorry that you had a bad experience, but Knife & Fork is a must for me in AC. Never had a bad meal there. K&F and Dock's are the 2 restaurants I frequent the most. I like to avoid all of the in-casino dining.

Has H.I. Rib in Pennington NJ closed down?

Sold and soon to be demolished.

Red Sauce Italian in/near Atlantic City?

Angeloni's at the corner of Arctic and Georgia. Excellent wine list. IMO better than Angelo's.

Good atmosphere, great food and cheap beer in Monmouth County?

+1 with the Brickwall in Asbury Park.

Atlantic City - Dock's or Knife and Fork Inn?

Same owners. I've had great meals at both places. If I had to choose between the two, I'd go to Knife and Fork.

Caterer in Manalapan area

I've used Pinch of Thyme catering several times and was never disapointed. Great food and very reliable.

Brickwall (Asbury Park)

I was there last weekend. I understand there is a new manager there. He's a beer guy who plans on rotating the taps frequently with craft brews (great news!). I didn't notice a difference with the food.

Any old-time Atlantic City restaurants worth trying?

Angeloni's on the corner of Arctic & Georgia. Great wine list.

Where to eat in AC?

You're thinking of Chef Vola's.

atlantic city weekend in march---thoughts????

I prefer Angeloni's (great wine list) on the corner of Arctic and Georgia over Angelo's.

beer glass as a gift

How about picking up a couple of the Duvel gift packs? Comes with 4 bottles and a tulip glass.

What's one thing you've never eaten that you wish you could try RIGHT NOW?

I've always wanted to try a durian. It can't be that bad, can it?

Help me find a summer beer

Troëgs Sunshine Pils is my pick

Peter Luger- Steak for 2 vs. for 3 vs, for 4 Debate???

Just tell everyone they're getting their steak medium rare, and be done with it.

"New" Harp?

What's the deal with Harp? Now comes in green packaging rather than blue, and the label says something about an original Irish recipe.

I don't like the sound of this. For those that have tasted both, can anyone comment on the taste difference?

Your "Go To" Beer?

One of the biggest decisions I have to make is what kind of beer to drink when at a bar or restaurant. Living in NJ, my favorite brewers are Victory, Flying Fish and Dogfish, so i enjoy many of the brews offered by these wonderful brewers when I am at home.

It's rare that I see these on tap though (or available at all). Usually, a Sierra Nevada wil be on tap, and that's what I would order. (Thankfully, since this is one of my favorite beers!)

So, i am asking, what is your "go to" beer, when the pickings are slim outside of Coors-Coors Light-Miller-Miller Lite, Bud-Bud Light, Heineken, and Corona?

Also, do you find yourself bored with the typical beer offerings at many restaurants?

Maxim Magazine's Beer List (it's bad)

Did you see the comment from "branson" at the end of the article?

"Hey dipshit the light in bud light doesn't stand for calories. It stands for the shade of the beer"

Someone should educate him.

Beer with pizza

Victory Prima Pils is an excellent choice, and one of my favorite brews. I also do not like to get too fancy with my "pizza beer". For this reason, I usually choose Rolling Rock. A Vienna style lager is a good idea and something I will try.

What's The One Thing You Can't Eat, even for money.

No money in the world will make me eat a hot dog with ketchup, quiche, or drink a light beer.
