Besides Green Valley Grill up the road, they also own Lucky 32 in the same vicinity - all very good food. On New Year's Eve, I had a delicious lemon/vanilla martini and a flatbread at the bar at Proximity. Several months prior, I had their trout with sauteed spinach and grilled potatoes. All well prepared. You won't go wrong with any of the three choices.
HELP! Biz Trip to Greensboro, NC - Stuck near Airport, No Car!
Yes, Bistro Sofia is excellent. I went there for my birthday in late August. Our local restaurant reviewer just went back and did a second review on it and gave it really great reviews - again- they offer a price fixe meal @ $25 before 6:00 I believe. Worth the trip if you can do it.
Saigon Restaurant in Greensboro - did I miss the secret password?
I have eaten at Saigon forever (back before they acquired Sally's hotdogs and expanded) and believe that Duckie - the owner - would do anything you wanted to to spice up your meal. I especially like any of their curry dishes. Friends and family drive from W-S all the time to eat there. I hope you will try it again.

Outgrow doughnuts????? You are talking to a southern girl who grew up in the birthplace town of Krispy Kreme. I am sure I will learn to love a cannoli but a hot, melting KK doughnut is hard to beat....

What do Chowhounds do for a living (besides eat of course)?
I am a nurse (and frustrated chef) who has a teenage son who has been eating vegetables since he could sit up - for his 5th birthday, he asked to go somewhere where he coud get a "nice salad." On his way to culinary school after high school. I guess I'll be living vicariouly through him!

Good Grocery/Seafood on 158 to Duck NC
Northbanks Restaurant in Corolla is my favorite. Great menu with fresh seafood. Bartenders steam anything you want. Maybe 50 seats in all?

Dinners in Liberty/Siler City NC?
In Asheboro, A Taste of Thai kept me alive and sane the short time I lived there as it was the only restaurant (besides Blue Mist) whre you could get a good meal. The green curry is my all time favorite. Be aware though that the city is dry so you must bring your own wine if that is important to you.
Greensboro, NC - Muse, Marisol, Undercurrent, or elsewhere?
223 South Elm (the name and location) is supposed to be wonderful. Also 1618 West Seafood Grill (again the name and location: 1618 W. Friendly Ave) Green Valley Grill will serve a very fine meal but if you want something with a bit more splash, I would suggest these two and the Undercurrent that was mentioned above.
