Who's Been To The Sultan's Tent / Cafe Maroc?

Ok, this isn't exactly the same type of food, but my friend who is Morrocan actually loves this place (over Sultan's)... THE RED VIOLIN 95 Danforth Avenue - 416-465-0969
It is Brazilian style food. He loves the atmosphere and the way the food is served.

It's worth looking up online and seeing if it might interest you and your friend.

anyone know of any good delis in the downtown core

I can't say if they do anymore....but the Loblaws at Laird and Moore (Leaside area just south of Eglinton) used to in their deli as customers asked for it. But, I haven't been there in 6 years so I have no idea if they do anymore. You could call them and ask.

east end breakfast

And you always stink like grease when leaving there (more so than anywhere else), no matter where you sit.

I agree the staff are rude.

Chinese on Queen Street East

There is one place I know of that has been consistantly good in the world of Chinese food. I've never had a meal there I haven't enjoyed. It is not on Queen East though. But, they do deliver and are in the east end.
I can't recall the address off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure they are somewhere near Pape. The name of the place is RED ROSE. They do Chinese food in general, I can't remember specific styles though.

If I remember tonight, I'll get the phone off the flyer and post it. But, do not rely on my memory.

Looking for Lithuanian Food in GTA

Thank you for the tips. I do apprecaite them. (are you Lithuanian?)

I've eaten at both those places at those times...as I was stuck at those locations for various reasons throughout my life (church, funerals, etc) (Yes, I am Lithuanian). Unfortunately, Sundays are my sleep in days and I'm really looking for somewhere to eat on a Saturday night..as that is my eat out night with one of my friends. We've eaten at restaurants that cater to his background (ok, Portuguese isn't too hard, lol), and wanted to find ones that catered to mine.

Recs for Fancy-ish Sunday Brunch (The Old Mill?)

I went to the King Edward hotel for brunch once and it was great. I'm not sure of the price though.

Looking for Lithuanian Food in GTA

Does anyone know any restaurants in the GTA that either specialize in Lithuanian food or at least serve Lithuanian dishes?

Unfortunately all I can seem to find online are restaurants in Chicago.

Beach Eats: Let's Be Honest

Bow Thai is actually pretty good. I've had it a couple times and no complaints from me. They are consistant, unlike Urban Thai across the street which is garbage. Bow Thai also has very good prices and a pretty authentic taste.

Best pizza in Toronto?

Now, I'm not going to say this is the BEST pizza in town, but it is a tasty pizza at a very reasonable price. There is a restaurant called GEORGIO'S something or another, right across the street from the Greenwood off-track betting building, between Coxwell Ave and Kingston Rd on Queen St East (north side). They do pick up and delivery. But, if you pick up, they have excellent prices. I got a large 2 or 3 topping pizza for $10+tx. It wasn't crappy pizza pizza style (though, I've figured out how to order a pizza from there and get it to be pretty decently done). Anyways, at this Georgio's (maybe it's spelled Giorgi's..not sure) place, ask to see their pizza ordering list (not the flyer or menu) that the actual waitress/waiter checks off on, as it has ALL the options (unlike the flyer or menu). I suggest getting it well done. The crust is naturally thin and needs that well done feature to give it a nice crispness (especially if you like lots of cheese and veggies which help create that soggy effect).
