fun good food 10 minutes or less from westlake
I'm sure you're probably already done checking this, but don't go to La Scala. I work across 114 from Marriott Solana and we go there for lunch...decent pizza but definitely not a good place for atmosphere. Southlake Town Square is the way to go (114 heading east, exit Carroll street and turn right. Its on your left). If you're looking for drinks, go to Mi Cocina for the Mambo Taxis (VERY strong margaritas) or X's and O's for a typical bar type place.
Reccomendations for Ft. Worth?
People go to Joe T's for the experience, not the food although most people will swear they love the food. It is by far the most overrated place in town but a great place for large group gatherings.
Easy dinner between dfw&ok. city
Are you looking for closer to the airport or closer to OKC? Just north of the airport head west on 114 and exit kirkwood i believe. Just down the access road is a mexican restaurant called Cristinas that is fantastic and pretty quick. Once you're done, keep heading west on 114 and it runs into I-35W at Texas Motor Speedway so you can head north to Oklahoma.
Rome restaurant on via Cavour close to Colosseum
I was in Italy in January and fell in love with a small restaurant close to the Colosseum on via Cavour. If you are walking from the train station area towards the Colosseum, it is on the right hand side of the street and I think it is just past the Sitar Indian restaurant. They put a few tables outside on the sidewalk but it doesn't have a tent or anything over it. There is a scooter rental place next door.
I fell in love with this restaurant while I was there, but before I left I forgot to take a picture of the sign or write down the name or anything. Has anyone been there recently or live there that might know what its called?
