Richmond Hill - favs and foodie finds?
Dick's Wings & Grill at 205 Don Head Village Blvd. in Richmond Hill (beside Sue's Produce) has my new favourite burger. Half pound burgers prepared fresh daily and really good potato salad as well.
looking for information/reviews of butcher shops in North end of North York/Woodbridge/Maple
P & F Meat Products in Markham on Woodbine just north of Elgin Mills is excellent.

Chicago Pizza Kitchen in Maple. Easily the Best Pizza in the Toronto area. Worth a delivery charge.
You are correct. I've lived in Maple for 40 years and I hear things like that all the time. The attitude is if it's Italian it should be made by Italians, Portuguese, Portuguese, etc. It's just the way it is
REAL, honest-to-goodness CHICAGO deep dish pizza and Italian Beef
There is TTC access from Keele North. it's only a 2 minute walk, tops, from Keele and Major Mackenzie.
Dufferin/Rutherford Rd. Restos?
Don't be shy about trying some places in Richmond Hill. Fantastic Asian places, Hungarian at Rhapsody, Bob's Fish & Chips, even Three Coins for a greasy spoon, just to name a few. You can't go wrong with quite a few Italian places in Woodbridge. Lago at Eagles Nest Golf Club in Maple is very good.
You'll never know until you try.
Roti & Doubles in Richmond Hill?
Caribbean Jerk Pit at N/E corner of Elgin Mills and Yonge is pretty good.
Best Fish & Chips (and Gravy) in Richmond Hill area?
There is one more on Levandale. Look's pretty shabby inside, but the food is quite good.
Burgers in Markham / Richmond Hill
I've always liked Steer Inn on Yonge just south of Major Mackenzie. Burgers are good and the onion rings are exceptional.
Richmond Hill - favs and foodie finds?
The best onion rings by far are at Steer Inn on Yonge south of Major Mackenzie. Hollywood Panini on Yonge south of Major Mack beside Shoppers Drugs had some fantastic sandwiches.
Authentic Newfie food
It's certainly not a short trip but there is a decent place in Fergus.

maple syrup?
It's certainly the wrong time of year to be getting fresh maple syrup, but in the spring many farms have syrup sold on site. Generally Canada #1 grade syrup is for table use. Canada #2 tends to have a much stronger flavour as does Canada #3 and Ontario Amber. Ontario Amber may only be sold at farm gate.

Best fish & chips in an English pub downtown?
Just don't eat at the strip joints! Ever!!
Richmond Hill Dinning HELP
Nava at York Blvd. and Hwy. 7 isn't bad. It's affiliated with Brix, which is virtually directly south of that location. Rhapsody has good Hungarian, but I'm not sure about the size for your party. It's at Yonge, just north of Major Mackenzie. Carnaval Brazilian Grill while not spectacular, is kind of fun and is in the same group of places as Nava.
Restaurants near/in Port Perry
Court Jester's is a great place for lunch. Decent beer selection too and a local ghost.
"Great Fresh Tasty Buffalo Mozzerella" Where??
Grande Cheese has some that is very good.
Good eats in Richmond Hill?
Rhapsody on Yonge just north of Major Mackenzie has excellent Hungarian. Cafe en Passant just north of there, has very good French. Richmond Grill in another very good place. Thailand Restaurant is good. All are within walking distance of one another.
Caribbean Jerk Pit has a small eat-in area, but really good food at Yonge and Elgin Mills. Hollywood Panini is on Yonge between Weldrick and Major Mack, and for casual Italian, it's exceptional.
