I love food, all varieties, ethnicities, etc so I've had a lot of awesome meals that can't be compared to one another, I tend to especially love bold and complex flavors and I have a huge weakness for spicy food.
My current drink of choice:
I always love a bold Chilean cab, but my favorite wine is Michael David Vineyard's Seven Deadly Zins, my favorite cocktails are filthy martinis, mojitos made without a mix or margaritas made from scratch, no sweet & sour mix for me!
I really wish I could:
Eat amazing food all of the time and never gain an ounce.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
I like to experiment and try a lot of recipes, but I've made salmon cakes with dill cream sauce and roasted butternut squash & red peppers topped with olive oil, rosemary, and parmesan a few times when I'm not feeling creative
My favorite comfort food:
curry, linguini with clams, roasted garlic mashed potatoes and mac & cheese
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Red, White & Brew, Postino, Thai Lana, Cafe Phoenicia, Cyclo, Golden Buddha (dim sum), Bonefish, Ah-So (sushi), La Petite Auberge, Sammy T's, Matta's, Lolo's Chicken and Waffles, Los Dos Molinos, Cheesecake Factory - so I named more than five, five is unrealistic
My most tattered cookbooks:
Rick Bayless' Mexico: One Plate at a Time, Mad Coyote Joe's Sonoran Grill, Top Secret Recipes, and I use the Food Nework and Epicurious sites often, and I have some wonderful family recipes from my mom, aunt and grandmother that I can always default to.
