Manila Clams

Thanks!

Manila Clams

Do any of the fish markets in the boston area carry Manila Clams?

Camberville Steak

Was at RHT last night. Rib Eye was served with giant fried onion rings and bone marrow butter. Looked great! It also may have only been 18oz.

where to buy black cod?

I saw it at Savenors in Beacon Hill a couple weeks ago.

Anyone Been to House of Chang in Cambridge?

I noticed that they are doing Dim Sum on Saturdays and Sundays.....anyone try that yet?

Chicken Parm Sub Finished in an Oven

Maybe Beauty's Pizza on Broadway in Cambridge? They refer to the subs as "oven baked".

South End Food Crawl

Thanks so much for all the great suggestions! Might have to spread it out over a few days!

South End Food Crawl

What specific dish/dishes do you like at the places you listed?

South End Food Crawl

I am trying to plan an evening in the South End that involves stopping at multiple restaurants/bars to sample their best dishes, probably only 1 or 2 items at each place.

I know that Toro will be on the list for their corn and Butcher Shop for their steak tartare.

Any other suggestions?

Clover food truck

Does the 3 months pertain to the Brick and Mortar space or is the truck supposed to take that long too? This IS excellent news!

Angela's Cafe in East Boston

I went a couple weeks ago. They moved the bar to the wall left of the kitchen, which opened up room for additional tables. Looks good. They also now serve Margaritas.

Curry Fries

Who has the best curry fries in the Boston/Cambridge/Somerville area?

Best Corn Chips (found in Boston area)?

The packaging of these chips look a lot like the red and green colored tortilla chips that I have been searching for since Christmas. They came in a brown bag with a little window in the middle. I think they were being sold at Shaws or Stop & Shop.

Any idea if they are the same?

If I recall, the ones I am looking for are on the thinner side.

Dorado Tacos - excellent experience

I had an excellent experience too. I utterly dislike the taste of cilantro, and for those who have been to Dorado - you know that almost everything there seems to include it. I ordered two tacos without salsa. The owner didn't take my order, but he got wind of it and came out to talk to me. He wanted to know why I ordered them so plain. When I told him it was because of the cilantro, he pulled out the official recipe book and found the one salsa that they carry that doesn't include it and gave me a few sides to try.

I felt that he went out of his way to make sure I was going to enjoy my meal....and I did! I have been to many places like Dorado and my meals without cilantro, which is often boring. Not once has anyone pulled out the recipe book.

Woodward at the Ames

Thanks! Can't wait to try them!

Woodward at the Ames

How much are the cocktails going for?

Trina's to open today

Thanks!

Trina's to open today

Will Trina's have any live music or is it strictly food and drinks?

Interesting Lemonades

I believe this farm is Gilson's Herb Lyceum and they are/were also in Copley and Gov't Center

Ten Tables Cambridge / Craigie on Main / TW Foods

Thanks for the update - I guess I would have found that out when I went to make a reservation! But wish they would post something like that on their website.

Ten Tables Cambridge / Craigie on Main / TW Foods

Help me choose which restaurant to go to on Sunday night for my bday!

Private Wine Tastings - Boston Area

Best Cellars has something called Sommelier for An Evening which sounds like what you would be looking for. A trained Sommelier I think actually leads the tasting.

Kirkland Cafe - Will it Reopen?

A few months ago, someone mentioned that the "new" Kirkland would reopen sometime soon.

Is anything slated to go in there?

Lucky Garden - Huron Village

I noticed that the Lucky Garden on Concord Ave in Huron Village is under renovation (dumpster out front/brpown paper in the windows). I haven't gotten a chance to investigate the permit in the window.

Does anyone know if it is a new restaurant going in there or if Lucky Garden is just under renovation?

I had never eaten there, but it looked really run down.

BerryLine / BoYo

This might get moved to another section of Chowhound....but thought I would give it a try.

First off, I love BerryLine!

Second off, I am wondering if you can eat at either of these locations while pregnant? I know that soft serve machines are considered taboo cause of bacteria. Would the same apply to one of the machines at one of these Natural Frozen Yogurt places?

Healthy lunch options : 20 minute walk from Kendall Square

Thanks for the suggestion...I do like Sebastians, but it is too close.

I think I need to clarify my original post : I want to walk about 20-25 minutes, get my lunch and walk back.

Healthy lunch options : 20 minute walk from Kendall Square

Any suggestions for a healthy lunch option (take-out) within a 20 minute walk of Kendall Square? I am thinking something on the lines of UFood. I want to be able to leave Kendall, get take out, and be back within in an hour.

Best walk-to restaurants in Charlestown

Navy Yard Bistro is delicious!

Both Sorelle locations are great.

Max and Dylan's recently opened also.

Ironsides is also good. Nice outdoor seating.

Delivery in Charlestown

Sushi : Billy Tse in the North End
Salad/Sandwiches : Cafe Padima on Cambridge Street near MGH
Pizza : Paolo's Trattoria on Main Street in Charlestown
Thai : Similans (Brown Sugar Cafe people) on First Street near Galleria
Mexican : Viva Burrito on Staniford near North Station

For Jenny's they also make a good chicken cutlet...get it on the braided roll.

Soon enough - you will start getting fliers for other places too.

Boston's Tiny Trapeze Marshmallow M-I-A

Tiny Trapeze also makes really great caramel corn too! The container without the chocolate is my favorite.
