Foodie Options in The Woodlands

Hi there,

Coming down to visit a friend in the Houston Area over Memorial Day weekend.

Looking to take him out for one great meal sometime that weekend as a thank you for hosting me. Thinking either Brunch or Dinner.

What options can you give me? We are open to any cuisine.

Thanks!

Eulogy in Philadelphia

Mussels vary in size throughout the year. I've always enjoyed Eulogy. Great staff. Gerat Beer. And I love that grilled cheese.

Brunch in Old City/Queen Village?

Hi Chowhounders,

I have a friend visiting from out of town in a couple weeks and I want to show them the best in Philly dining.

We're doing Osteria on Friday night and Ansill on Saturday.

But we need to go somewhere for brunch on Saturday.

Any recommendations? We've got plans in Old City at 1pm, so I'd prefer something within walking distance, but could be convinced to go further afield for a cool experience.

Food quality trumps atmosphere on this one.

Thanks,

Mary

Downtown Knoxville

Hi there,

A friend and I are visiting Knoxville at the end of the month. We will be staying downtown near the Convention Center, but we will have access to a car if necessary.

We are looking for great places to eat. We tend to prefer gastropub places with great food and great beer. But I am open to anything with GREAT food.

I will need recommendations for two dinners and brunch. One of the dinners should be in that same Convention Center area if at all possible.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mary

gastropubs?

Hi there,

I will be coming to Toronto in February with 6-8 friends. We are looking for a good place to meet up on a Friday night with great food and quality beers. Something downtown.

Any suggestions for a good gastropub type place?

Thanks!

lunch in northern liberties (philly)

Can anyone recommend some good places for a group lunch on a weekday in Northern Liberties?

I love Standard Tap, but they don't open until 4pm.

Old Stone Mill tonight on Kitchen Nightmares

I read a NY Times review of this restaurant from 2006 and they said the same things that Gordon Ramsay said. Beautiful decor, awful food - except they liked the chopped salad.

Visiting Hong Kong

Would love to get some great recommendations on where to dine. I like just about anything, but prefer healthier meals - so not a lot of noodles!

Bluefin in Plymouth Meeting

I want to step in and defend the Bluefin, too. It's right around the corner from my mom's house and I have always had delicious meals and been treated well by the staff.
The Bluefin is one of the saving graces in that area where 98% of the restaurants are chains.
