I just got an email that www.fusionaustin.com is selling these macarons! This is a chef from Paris who recently relocated to the area. I've tried one of them and they are heavenly. Unfortunately I deleted the email before looking at the price, but it's probably on the website.

Yep- Faraday's does an in-store once in a while, and it's the Knife Sharpest who comes and does it. They come about once every 3-4 months.

I'm from New England, and I miss my lovely natural casing hot dogs that pop when you bite them. I have NOT been able to find a decent dog anywhere down here, and I'm going to have to resort to trying to bring a few pounds back on the airplane next time I go home--unless somebody knows where I can get them down here. They don't even have to be the bright red kind, although those do look the prettiest with yellow mustard...

Maybe it's just La Mexicana that's bad... I went there for the first time last week. My husband and I each ordered a couple of different things, and they were all awful- dry and crumbly and flavorless. Mucho disappointing.
