Best meal I ever ate:
ONE of: Chicken sauteed in butter, broccoli rabe, white beans, meringue, at a little place in Florence.
My current drink of choice:
Dry Plymouth martini. Always refreshing. Or an espresso.
I really wish I could:
own a perfectly designed, giant, full kitchen, with an industrial oven, all my favorite appliances, and fully-stocked liquor cabinet.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Spicy, garlicky, guacamole. Very few people refuse it.
My favorite comfort food:
Dumplings. Or roast chicken and pasta a la carbonara.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
In New York: Lupa, Spicy and Tasty, Sripraphai, Sucelt (though they closed), and Mangiami. Italy: the Florentine place...if I can remember the name. Paris: L'Affiche.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Beard On Bread, The Joy of Cooking, Mastering The Art of French Cooking, The Food of China, The Food of France, The Food of Italy.
