So, if you walk into Portage Bay and hang a right, keep walking and you'll hit the patio. It's a nice little patio with a handful of tables. Enjoy! |

Portage Bay Cafe, Cafe Campagne, and Macrina on Queen Anne all have at least a few outdoor tables and serve up a yummy brunch. |

I use a marinade that is very similar to the one above. From Tyler's Ultimate Fajitas: 1 orange, juiced I use it with skirt steak and it turns out great. I'm sure it would work well with chicken too. |

Easy canape ideas... catering for 30 Looks like lots of great ideas already. Some of my easy stand-bys are: |

I hear D'Anna's is good and I enjoyed a great dinner at Fino last summer (both in Bellingham). Often when I'm doing just a quick trip through B'ham, I'll pick up a few things for a picnic or antipasti at home...stops include the farmer's market, Quel Fromage, Avenue Bread, and Purple Smile. A Mallard ice cream stop is also a favorite. |

Healthy salads to take to work Thanks for all the responses - you've helped liven up my lunch routine and I'm looking forward to giving your great ideas a try! |

Sounds like you've already gotten some good ideas. While perhaps not the healthiest, my favorite with pumpkin ravioli is brown butter, sage, and toasted pine nuts. Yum... |

Copper River Salmon in Seattle, Vancouver, or Alberta? I've seen a few signs around the markets (in Seattle) that list May 17th as the arrival date. |

Healthy salads to take to work With summer coming, I'm looking to add more salads into my workday lunches. Any ideas for yummy healthy salads (perhaps with some protein) that can be prepared (entirely or mostly) in advance? And my apologies in advance if there's already a thread on this. I'm a new Chowhounder and did do a search, but didn't find what I was looking for. Thanks! |

If I remember correctly, I think the Brooklyn includes oysters on their happy hour menu - a half dozen for $5.00. Although it's a popular happy hour spot so seats fill up quickly. |

I second the vote for Restaurant Zoe. |

Portage Bay Cafe is one of my favorite brunch spots. Delicious (organic) food in a warm, casual environment. They also have an outdoor patio...although that could be a stretch for mid-May in Seattle. |

SEA - Best Waterfront Seafood Happy Hour Agreed...Waterfront has great food and a view that's hard to beat. Love the steak strips, steak sandwich, and oysters on the half shell at Daniel's - all on the happy hour menu. They do have an outdoor area, but it's pretty small. Get there early and enjoy! |
