French Macaroons- Reasonably Priced
I'm looking to purchase French Macaroons which are reasonably priced for a baby shower I'm hosting. Depending on the price I would be buying between 3 and 4 dozen. I live in the city but would venture out if the price is right. Thank you in advance for the suggestions.
Lunch near Bart SF- Recs?
Looking to take a friend out to a belated birthday lunch tomorrow. Preferably on the Bart line here in the city 24th, 16th, and downtown are all options but nothing that would break the bank. Thanks for the suggestions.
Oakland's best non-taco Mexican?
Dona Tomas and Tamarindo will set you back more than a taqueria but I've enjoyed both. Also, recently eyed the menu at Cocina Poblana and it looked appealing.

Lark Creek Steak What to order?
We'll be dining at LCS and would like to get ideas about what is good and not so good? How does the prix fixe menu compare to the a la carte?
Sit Down Mexican in Mission
Try Gallardos at 14th and Folsom. They have excellent birria, pozole, menudo, sopes, gorditas and chile verde. All items not usually found at taquerias. The walls are covered with black and white pix of Mexican movie stars from the 40's and 50's and great fun to look at. Although a casual place on weekends you may find families in there Sunday best celebrating something or another. For upscale Maya is the way to go. Colibri is good but I found that Maya is an overall better experience.
What else to order at Bouchon?
Love the salmon tartare with chopped egg and also the cod fritters. Something I never would have ordered but was lucky my compnanion did... trotters. Yum.
Glen Park Changes
I read on another blog that Higher Grounds might be moving but I'm happy to say that is not true. However, I did see that the phantom Sushi restaurant is hiring. Anyone know the scoop?
Best Tasting Menus in SF?
Again I said elsewhere Masa's has an excellent tasting Menu but MM is worth visitng atleast once.
Michael Mina: should I even bother?
I prefer Masa's but I'm glad I tried MM at least once for the experience.
