Uganda

Le Petite Village in Quality Hill Plaza on Gaba Road (around Kansanga/Kabalagala) is good for coffee.

Uganda

Indian Summer in Kabalagala on Tank Hill is absolutely delicious

Zinelo's also on Tank Hill is good, ask for their frequent pizza buyer.. easy to get free pizzas. They're milkshakes are pretty good too! Carlhaynes, the indian pizza is Mumbai, it is good but VERY spicy!

I haven't been to Le Village on Gaba Road in Kansanga, but I hear they have the best steak and eggs in Kampala!

Burger @ Yellow Griffin Pub (review) YUM!!!

Yellow Griffin is a GREAT place.

My favourite is the Waldorf Astoria on a Veggie Patty with a side of sweet potato fries.
Also good are the breaded pickles and the cole slaw

I find the beef patty to be a little bit dry.

Dr. Generosity

Dr. G is definitely my favourite restaurant in Toronto. I always go there when I really want a good meal in a great environment. I can order the Surf n Turf and not go broke. I can colour on the table and not feel silly. The owner is very nice. And I can't complain about the cheap wine corking prices.

I went once with my sister and her two kids, they were VERY accommodating, and I can admit that we required quite a bit of attention as we had a gigantic stroller and a very curious child.
I've had the Best Tuna Sandwich.. definitely my favourite
Special of the Day: Perch
Most of their pastas
All of their soups
Liver and Onions..mmmmmmm really really good
and some of my nieces Mac n Cheese

Yamato- Review

saw the office and was so estatic when they made the onion volcano that i actually taped it.
my yamato experience was fantastic. price was decent, portions were smaller than i had expected, but i was satisfied in the end, not bloating full. our chef was totally fun and the entire staff greeted us as we came in and as we left. oh and they are ALL Japanese.
two thumbs up.

65 Degrees on College

65 degrees is no good. the food was borderline OK, the service was demented.
first, the wine i ordered they didnt have and didn't offer to match it with another wine, but offered another wine at an extra cost of $25 (!!@??!?!).
second, suggested the specials for the day, but did not mention that they were outrageously priced ($19 for literally 4 slices of smoked salmon)
third, my pasta that i ordered i had to send back because the pasta was stuck to each other making one of those pasta chunks.
no apologies from the waiter (who was decently nice) or the manager.
lastly, we asked if we could sit in a booth, they said no because it was reserved for bigger groups... the entire time we were in the restaunt 8-10pm not a single group sat there... probably because the restaurant was empty the whole time.
two thumbs down.

Four Canadian Designer Girls Take Manhattan - Recommendations?

Hey, I am one of the 4 girls on this trip. I heard about a restaurant in the basement of a hotel with a translucent floor.... and when it rains the water drips and they catch it with upside down umbrellas... anyone know anything about that?
