Where would you go for a baby shower on a Saturday afternoon in the city?

We want good food and something with a femme atmosphere, not a sports bar. Most likely for a group of 10 -15. Anywhere in the city would be good. Some place with manageable parking would be great. Please include cross streets. We're also looking for a place we could get into in the next two weeks or so.

Thanks!

Has anyone been to an event at one of these places in the San Diego area?

My friend is considering having her wedding this summer or fall at one of these locations in the Lake San Marcos area near San Diego:

Lake San Marcos Inn/Resort
Seapoint Resort
El Camino Country Club

She's trying to plan this long distance with limited time for site visits, so any insight into the food, service, overall ambiance, etc would be so helpful. She's looking for great chow that will appeal to all ages. Suggestions to other venues for a wedding reception in the area with great chow would also be appreciated. Either continental or Mexican food is preferable.

Google Cafeteria

Can anyone eat there, or do you have to be with an employee?

Ideas for 30th birthday party in June

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. It seems that every place suggested is vehemently opposed by other reviews online, so its hard to know what to do, but I am grateful for the input.

Your choice for Trader Joe's BEST item

Wow, tough choices. I'd have to say that I love frozen mango chunks (though the supply is erratic). Also the red enchilada sauce makes any quick nacho snack taste pulled together and I have am addicted to the thai lemongrass rolls (freezer section). Great with the mango too.

I tried the mini chocolate bundt cakes with chocolate chips and they were horrible!

I greatly miss the mini sesame fortune cookie discs they used to have next to the chips and crackers. Wish I could find those somewhere else. I loved the size and the sesame seeds and they were just the right flavor.

Ideas for 30th birthday party in June

I want to throw myself a major 30th birthday bash. Kinda punk but with excellent food. Definitely must include silliness. Music, karaoke, whatever. Should be a hip place, not too expensive. I want to be able to accommodate a group of 10-20, at night, mid-June. I'm thinking California cuisine, Italian or Mexican. I'm open to ideas but I want this to be a memorable event that people just can't refuse. If I could somehow combine La Fondue and Green Day in one party that would be a dream concept come true.

I'm looking for a place in the South Bay/Peninsula/City. I am welcoming all ideas.

Good Food in Livermore?

I'll bet anything it was Anita's. They're everyone's favorite place and right next to the free parking structure downtown too and the movie theater
