Vegetarian-Friendly Korean in K-Town?

Oh, perfect. I've been there, but had forgotten how much tofu they have. Thanks!

Vegetarian-Friendly Korean in K-Town?

Looking for a place in K-town to accommodate 4 carnivores and a vegetarian this weekend. 2 of the carnivores have never eaten Korean food, so I'd like to expose them to the full panoply of Korean food (which rules out Hangawi). Can't recall if Kang Suh or Kum Gang San have decent vegetarian options on their menu. Anyone know of a good place? Thanks!

Visiting SD this wknd, need a rec for bday dinner downtown/Gaslamp

Thanks for all the recs. We ended up going to Cowboy Star for dinner -- food, cocktails, and service were all great. Also went to Noble Experiment and thought the drinks were excellent. SD is a great city!

Visiting SD this wknd, need a rec for bday dinner downtown/Gaslamp

3 friends and I are visiting SD this weekend, and staying in the Gaslamp area. We'll be celebrating a birthday on Saturday night. There are a ton of recs on here, and I think I have our eating itinerary down for the most part, but am not sure what to choose for the birthday dinner. We're looking for as trendy/cool a place as possible without sacrificing food quality (2 of us are serious foodies, including bday girl). Suggestions for the best in the Gaslamp/downtown area (or a cheap cab ride away). Looking to spend approx. $30-40 per person (not including drinks). Any kind of food works. Thanks!

Need Updated Recs for 2007 in State College,Pa

Kelly's Steak and Seafood is great. It's not too far out of SC in Boalsburg (just a couple of miles away). Don't be deterred by the giant cow on top!

Also, Spats and Zola's are still great. When I came to SC, I have to admit I was surprised to find such high-quality restaurants like these two.

Korean Fried Chicken

I tried Bon Chon Chicken out on Northern Blvd, and it was really good! I think I had the soy-flavored kind. They serve it with pickled daikon radishes and some potato salad. It's quite light and tasty, and you don't feel all weighed down by grease afterward.

What happened to David's in Elmhurst?

Does anyone know what happened to the excellent Taiwanese restaurant, David's, on Broadway in Elmhurst? They changed their name (to what I can't recall) a while back, and one day, I went for dinner there, and it was closed! I don't know if it was just the time of year (between Christmas and New Year's), and I haven't had the chance to go back, but was wondering if anyone knew what was going on. It was such a great restaurant..

Must Eat In Astoria/Queens?

Hemsin, on 39th and Queens Blvd. (Sunnyside) -- excellent Turkish
Yamakaze, on the same block -- great, inexpensive sushi
Aliada, on Broadway in Astoria (I forget the cross street) -- solid, inexpensive Greek
Donovan's, in Woodside -- delicious, old-school burgers
