Milan Lounge...opinions, etc. Please!

i have only been there once, but it was nothing special. it is straight up a bar. nothing more and nothing less. you should have no problem going in there alone to grab a beer.

Palace Cafe- Temperature Lunch

They do it weekdays. Every time I have been, we had to ask the server what they were serving that day.

Palace Cafe- Temperature Lunch

Has anyone been yet this year? What have they been serving? I am thinking about going tomorrow.

NO this summer...

Try to make it to White Linen Nights. Plenty of art, people watching, drinks, and food.

Middendorf’s

Middendorf's, the legendary seafood restaurant in Manchac that’s long been a favorite of Baton Rouge diners, was so heavily damaged from floodwaters generated by Hurricane Ike that the original 74-year-old building faces demolition. Karen Pfeifer, who took over the restaurant last year with her husband, Horst, says the original restaurant and the annex built in 1974 had four feet of floodwater. Pfeifer says she hopes to reopen the annex by October while deciding what to do with the original. Horst Pfeifer told the Times-Picayune that he would like to reopen the original structure at flood elevation with a new kitchen. "I'm going to work very hard to make sure Middendorf's is here for the next generation," he told the newspaper. Petunia's vs. Palace Cafe for Brunch

We had an excellent brunch at Palace Cafe this past Sunday. Great food and service.

Baton Rouge - need recommendations

Those four are great. Unfortunately, Kiva's last day is tomorrow.
Other places:
Sammy's Grill
Pastime
Gino's
American Mart (convenience store with great cheap poboys)

Plenty more places too. Is there a certain area you will be working/staying?

Adolfo's

I always hear/see people recommend Adolfo's, but no one actually discusses the food. I plan on giving it a shot tonight. Anyone have suggestions on what to get and/or avoid?

Best of Warehouse district and other musts

Deanie's has great daily lunch specials plus po boys. They are very inexpensive. Located in the split between Tchop and Annunciation across the street from Cochon. They are open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays.

Breakfast in the Warehouse District

Deanie's (@ the Annunciation/Tchop split) has a very cheap, casual, and good breakfast, but they are only open weekdays.

Tasting/Chef's Menus

What restaurants have good tasting menus or pre-set multi course meals?
