I am having a party with about 25 guests and want to get good Mexican take-out to serve over the course of the evening. Can anyone recommend a restaurant to get good take-out in Sunset Park or Park Slope. Even better, please recommend dishes that will be good over course of evening and won't be soggy for late-arriving guests.

Neither in curry hill, but I like Minar (31st between 5th and B'wy) and Chandi (29th bet. 5th and B'wy)

Building on bond at corner of Bond and Pacific does a good brunch. Boutiques and antiques on Atlantic between Smith and Bond. Get a baked good at Betty Bakery on Atlantic between Bond and Nevins.

I can't recommend a specific champagne, but I generally like Bottle Rocket at 5 West 19th Street between 5th and 6th, which isn't too far away.

Saul on Smith St. isn't far from either Borough Hall or Hoyt St. stops on 2/3

I'll second the lamb and I really thought the octopus appetizer was outstanding and a must have. It was the most memorable part of the meal for me. Perfectly cooked and the grilled flavor of the octopus worked perfectly with the balsamic ink sauce that accompanied it.

I get the chocolate valrhona cake pretty regularly for special occasions and have never been disappointed. I think it is one of the better cakes around.

I recently ate at No. 7, which is nearby, and thought it was excellent. Really innovative cooking with great flavors and not too expensive.

The Tribeca Grand Hotel lounge or Bflat are options

Public on Elizabeth betw. Prince and Spring might fit the bill. They have a back room with a cozy fireplace and good food/drinks.

Vinny's on Smith between Sacket and Union has good, cheap steam table italian and is not too far away. Great ziti, chicken parm etc.

The Greek Corner on 28th and 7th makes a great gyro.

Greek Corner on 28th and 7th might fit the bill. Nothing fancy, but good diner food and one of the best Gyro's in the city.

D'Amico on Court and Degraw has a great house blend and is not too far from RH.

I had a great slice of blueberry pie at Betty Bakery on Atlantic between Bond and Nevins a few weeks ago. Can get it by the slice or whole pie. They also have a pretty strong assortment of fruit tarts.

Check with Los Paisanos on smith street in cobble hill. I think that they have them.

Smith and Vine (Smith betw Sackett and Degraw) also has a pretty nice selection of about a dozen different bourbons and other American whiskeys.

I'd also recommend Minar on 31st just off 5th and La Sani on 29th betw. 5th and B'way for Indian/Pakistani cuisine

Trader Joe's on Court street has frozen, ground bison patties.

Try the Fast and Fresh deli on Hoyt between Atlantic and State. They don't do much beyond tacos, but the tacos are pretty good.

This does not answer your question, but I would consider going straight to the source and order from a seafood retailer in AK. I recommend 10th and M seafood.

Her latest email suggests that she is not throwing in the towel and is looking beyond Red Hook to other parts of Brooklyn. She mentioned Bed Stuy as a possibility.

Landmarc in Tribeca serves a good ribeye. I have not been to the TWC location.

I can say without hesitation that their chocolate cake is fantastic. Rich, moist and just a hint of coffee flavor. Really, really good.
