Barolo's Profile

Kamloops

Being a foodie I found living in Kamloops a bit of a challenge. Having said that, after living there for a year, these are my suggestions:
Taka (Japanese) is very good and has sushi and traditional Japanese. It is located on Summit Drive in the parking lot of Save On Foods. Hidden jem.

Brownstone is a high end restaurant with good food in a beautiful old building downtown. http://www.brownstone-restaurant.com/

This Old Steak & Fish House is good as well, located in an old house on Battle Street downtown.

Good Italian-Peter's Pasta on Victoria Street. Basic good food served up by Peter himself.

Fantastic Greek food can be had on the North Shore at Mino's on Tranquille Road. Really good but a bit out of the way (and by out of the way it is only 8 minutes from North to South shore).

Taj Tandoori on Seymour Street for Indian.

Last but not least, the best breakfast spot is on Victoria Street is Hello Toast. Not great service but the food is good and you have a great spot to people watch.

Good luck!

Capo reservations

You need to have a reservation at Capo. If you want to get in short notice, call them in advance of showing up at the door...trust me.
