How Long Does Scape Season Last? Hello All - Just moved here recently and have started seeing scapes at the greenmarkets etc. Wondering how long the season usually runs? Thanks! |

Underground Dining: House of Commons Anyone heard of this underground supper club in Toronto? I came across this in Compendium Daily but have not otherwise heard boo about it.... |

Hi All I will be in Paris for a few days this week with my hubby (who is a veggie). Any recommendations for restos (variety of price ranges) that could satisfy us both? Cheers! |

Looking for zucchini flowers... Thanks Grandgourmand. What's the lag between flowers and fruit? |

Hi Hounders, I see from other posts that morel season is off and running for the adventurous mycophiles - but any tips on where the non-forager can buy Ontario foraged morels (i.e. not commercially produced). Cheers and happy Friday! |

How should Cotija be stored? It is so feta-like I feel like it will just dry up if not in some kind of liquid? |
|

la petite patisserie on King East This is fantastic. I live across the street and have been waiting for it to open - I saw people outside on their "patio" today and was happy to see it was open. I will sample and report back. Thanks for the posts - I am stoked!!! With a sweet tooth like mine this could mean trouble. |

Has anyone mentioned Petit Dejeuner on King East??? I love the Eggy Bread (DELISH) and Cheese Omelette. |

Does anyone know where I can get some Cotija (feta-like Mexican hard cheese from cow's milk) in Toronto? I was at the St. Lawrence market last weekend and the cheese vendors had no idea what I was talking about. |

Thank you for the info. I guess there is no way of avoiding it? Better quality chocolate? |
|

Question for the bakers out there: what causes whitish spotting to occur on the chocolate on my chocolate dipped biscotti? I used baker's semi-sweet chocolate coarsely chopped (and mixed in some unsweetened chocolate as well) melted over simmering water. Any ideas? |

Word - thanks rose water I will check out that thread. |

A Toronto Chowhound is hitting up NYC next weekend and staying at Broadway and W 103 St. Suggestions for breakfast (or anything else!) in the area? |

This place is in my hood too. It is now open. I viewed their menu online and they have mainly meat dishes. Not too veggie friendly, but I may try their veggie chili or pasta sauces. |
