Near the Greek? Tired of Mexico City and Little Dom's - other ideas?

Gotcha. At that place, I tend to stick with beer.

Not sure where you're coming from Cia Bob but if you're willing to stray that far from your destination, there is a host of options like L&E, Song, Barbrix, Silver Lake Ramen, etc.

Are you referring to Pine and Crane? It's not exactly Bowl-adjacent. In Silver Lake on Sunset just west of Maltman.

Rutt's Hut on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives

I was thinking the same thing and was bummed to realize the OP wasn't talking about THE REAL Rutt's Hut, although Fab's puts out a decent approximation. As far as the Jersey deep friend hotdog goes, I was always more of a Hiram's fan, which was featured on one of the Bourdain shows a while back.

Rinaldi's El Segundo -- What To Order?

Even if the sandwich was assembled by Baby Jesus himself, the combination of pastrami, lettuce and cheddar makes me shudder.

Restaurants to take my agents near Wilshire/Fairfax

I had a fantastic dinner with my gastroenterologist at Chasen's back in the day. He liked the chili.

Restaurants to take my agents near Wilshire/Fairfax

Do their occupations have anything to do with your requirements or do you just want to put it out there that you have representation?

P.S. I love how you've used title case for "Agents."

Saint Estephe? John Sedlar?

Why did I just comment on this zombie thread? I blame BlaineAndrews.

Saint Estephe? John Sedlar?

I produced a piece for Food Network on Encounter shortly after he took the job there. His plans were very ambitious - and I remember the food he served us was fantastic - but the price point coupled with the location (they were confident they could turn it into a destination restaurant for non-travelers) and goofy sci-fi aesthetic pretty much meant the place was doomed to fail.

Tacos Arizas in EP is Tripetastic

I found the asada to be quite tender, just on the bland side.

Echo Park - Sunset and Logan, adjacent to the Walgreens parking lot. IIRC, they're don't start doing their thing until 6pm or so.

Tacos Arizas in EP is Tripetastic

Admittedly, my sample size is small but I happen to like Taco Zone's tripe tacos and El Chato's quite a bit as well.

Tacos Arizas in EP is Tripetastic

Out with friends last night and stopped by this taco truck (really more of a trailer) for some mid-binge fuel. While the carnitas was solid, the tripe was off the charts! Crispy with just enough of that iron-rich organ meat taste you expect.

My friends opted for tamer options - asada is like taco training wheels - but were soon picking pieces off my plate.

Easily one of the best tripe tacos I've had in LA.

Lunch near downtown Getty...

Nancy: Have you ever been to Denmark?
Mellish: I’ve been, yes… to the Vatican.
Nancy: The Vatican? The Vatican is in Rome.
Mellish: Well, they were doing so well in Rome that they opened one in Denmark.

First Dunkin' Donuts Lands in Santa Monica

I grew up with Dunkin Donuts.

Their Big Gulp-sized ice coffee was my rocket fuel for pre-dawn fishing trips. I also love their old fashioned cake donuts.

That being said, this is "factory food." Don't go in expecting anything to be hand crafted or made with any sort of care.

The coffee is better than the majority of east coast diner coffee but pales in comparison to mass market stuff like Starbucks - I'm not kidding. As jessejames pointed out, their coffee is like a decent cup of Maxwell House, meaning that it's not swill but it ain't Stumptown, either.

I'm guessing that west coast branches of DD will lure in nostalgic east coast transplants, while California natives will likely be left wondering what all the fuss is about.

On the other hand, the comparisons to Winchell's are off. I've yet to visit a Winchell's that was anything other than filthy and their coffee tastes like dishwater. The DDs I've patronized have always been spotless and the (mediocre) coffee is always fresh.

Where Are the Joints? aka smaller, individually run neighborhood places?

Beat me to the punch. The Park in Echo Park pretty much epitomizes a neighborhood place.
