Denver- Breakfast Burritos

Just got back from my trip to Denver. The breakfast burrito at Sam's #3 was all I hoped it would be.

We recently made pancetta, and it came out very nicely.

"Chinese" Food

Not north county, but China Inn in Pacific Beach is exactly that kind of place.

Latin Chef: Primo Peruvian in PB San Diego

I got the Aji paste at Northgate Market. The product is La Nuestra "Pasta de Aji Amarillo", product of Peru. The only ingredients are Aji Amarillo, water and salt.

The anticuchos were awesome, by the way, and really easy to make (given that we had the Aji paste).

Latin Chef: Primo Peruvian in PB San Diego

I had the Aji de Gallina there last week. I liked it, but was surprised at how mild it was. I have some Aji paste we purchased to make anticuchos and it is *spicy*.

Does anyone know if the spice level at Latin Chef is typical of the dish?

San Diego burrito question

I second Taco Surf. Do the "build your own" carne asada burrito and you can get it exactly the way you want it.

Best Pizza that will deliver in or to Pacific Beach?

Another vote for La Cosa here. We have gotten consistently good pizza from them over the past several years.

Regarding the new location that used to be Central Park (can't remember the new name), I tried them a few weeks ago (post name change) and did not particularly like it.

Where can i find a decent meatball sub in SD?

I haven't been in quite some time, but the last time I went (in PB) I had their lasagna and it was terrible. Big, heavy and tasteless.

Brewery-type lunch place in San Diego?

If you like Pure Hoppiness, try Duet the next time Alpine has it available. It is even better. And try Nelson, their Rye IPA. Really interesting beer. They are supposed to have it available in a few weeks.

Brewery-type lunch place in San Diego?

I think Stone is outclassed by other breweries here in town. I do really like Stone Ruination IPA, though.

Brewery-type lunch place in San Diego?

San Diego is craft beer mecca. Regardless of where you go (and there have been some good suggestions), try to sample something from one of the local craft breweries -- Alpine, Port Brewing, Green Flash, AleSmith, Stone, Ballast Point, and others (listed roughly in my personal order of preference...)

San Diego - Tapas?

Not within walking distance of Old Town (it is in Pacific Beach), but Costa Brava is your best bet for tapas in San Diego:
