Dining with Children in Barcelona
I think El Glop is near our apt so was thinking about going before we head out but it looks a little formal so i think we will go with Bilbao Bernia...looks right up our alley
Thanks!

Sorry if I wasnt clear...the mixed reviews were for the bus. Also do you reccomend EL Glop Taverna for our lunch?
Dining with Children in Barcelona
Thanks so much....please tell me if this is a good plan...Think we will hit the steets around 2 pm , was planning on going to Cathedral area because I read on Sundays there is dancing and music...then Barceloneta, then a walk on the Ramblas. Our apt is by the Palace de la Musica so could probably use a good lunch recommendation in that area if you know of someplace casual open on a Sunday
Also any opinions about taking the Tourismo bus on Monday. Unfortunately I have had a lot of stuff going on and havent prepared that well for the trip or I wouldn't consider it. I have read lots of mixed reviews so any input is really appreciated.
Also any ipod apps that you think would be useful?
Thanks again.

Thanks, we are arriving this Sunday and only staying till Thurs with 2 kids age 14 and 10 . Do you think Sunday afternoon would be the best time to hit Barceloneta for a few hours? Thanks again, Leaving tomorrow feeling woefully unprepared but trying to catch up so any info is greatly appreciated.

Hi, i am going with my family in a couple of days and we only have 4 days there. Should we make time for Barceloneta or is it off season?
Jewish Xmas Meal in Chinatown .
Thanks for replies. Wound up at Cantoon Garden which now has a different name.Arrived at about 4:00 and our party of eight was seated right away. Place was half empty at that time. Service was fine, was really disappointed with the food. Cant go into too much detail but soup was awful, sent back....ordered sizzling steak which was tough and flavorless. crispy chicken was just ok, Kids really liked chicken with broccoli and i liked the salt baked squid but overall below average meal. Only positive was we didnt feel rushed. Oh well hopefully we pick a better place next year.

By hanging out I mean just not 30 mins in and out. Not going to linger but dont want to be so rushed either. Totally get that its rude to take up a table when people are waiting a wouldn't do that. i also have the issue of my family doesnt eat pork or seafood so thinking dim sum is maybe not the right choice.

We are a party of 8 with 4 adults and 4 kids age 5-14. Not going to NY Noodletown or Big Wong because we need somewhere we can hangout a little and not be too cramped. after doing some research I am looking at Jing Fong . Am I making a mistake or does that fit the bill for us? Thanks

2 Adults 2 Kids One Night in Prrovidence
We are spending one night downtown on the way to the Cape. kids are 8 and 12 looking for something reasonable preferably in a neighborhood where we can take a walk and grab some ice cream. I heard providence has some great Italian so I think that would be a good choice. TIA
Morandi what to order?
Thanks for the replies...I think..lol. I am a little bummed since we dont get to go out for Italian that often but we usually enjoy McNallys restaurants and we will give it a shot.
Morandi what to order?
Scored a reservation for tonight...did a search here and not much to go on. Any reccomendations?
What's new (and good) on UWS?
VYNL opened on Columbus and 84th a couple of weeks ago. Had brunch there with kids who loved the whole rock n roll theme, Food was very good and reasonably priced. Brunch for 2 kids and 2 adults came to about $50. Definately a welcome addition to UWS.
