Oahu - oceanfront views and good seafood?
I've spent a fair share of time in Waikiki. While there are some great places in the city, I've yet to find something off the beaten path with a view.
We have a rental car so not averse to driving around the island.
La Mer is interesting from a menu perspective (despite being in Waikiki), but wearing a jacket to dinner doesn't appeal to me. Call me white trash, but I'm just not into dressing up like that while in the islands.
I'm looking for a place like Mama's Fish House -- great food, great atmosphere, but still casual.
I'm not too familiar with Oahu outside of Waikiki, so are there any spots that relatively match what I'm looking for? TIA!
Nice but "noisy" Restaurant Recommendation
I had thought about BB, but several of us have already been...and I was also concerned about the number like you.
Any great bakeries/ice cream in or near Oakbrook Terrace?
Toni Marie's in Hinsdale (on Washington St. I believe) is famous bakery for the area. Really great stuff.
Nice but "noisy" Restaurant Recommendation
I need to entertain a group of ~10 people next week. I'm looking for an upscale American "comfy" food menu, something like Sola, West Town Tavern, Erwin, etc.
The group is all guys, and after a few wines the noise level raises. Lots of laughter and table conversation. Sola would be a perfect environment with its volume, but we've been there.
I don't want a completely silent & sport jacket place, but I still want a very nice menu and wine list.
Thoughts? TIA.
Barcelona: Need a restaurant suggest for biz reception.
Thanks, HeatherFL. Hotel Arts looks very nice, but is probably a touch too formal. I'm intrigued by Bestial and will investigate further!
Barcelona: Need a restaurant suggest for biz reception.
Looking to host a cocktail/tapas reception in April for a business event. We'll probably have around 50 people. Function is strictly social (no AV requirements, etc.).
Ideally it's a nicer place, good tapas, drinking package, and charming. I'd like to be on the Ramblas or by the port, and live music would be nice.
Any thoughts? TIA.
