Dayton Area-Chinese food and groceries
At the Glendale/Milford rd exit off of I-75 in the Evendale suburb of Cincinnati is CAM asian supermarket. Around the corner and heading north on Reading Rd is Uncle Yips. You can order dim sum off the menu and everything I have had there is superb. The largest international market around is Jungle Jim's in Fairfield where you can find pretty much anything.
Breakfast in Cincinnati / Northern KY?
Camp Washington Chili is right off I-75 at the Hopple Street exit. Very good goetta at breakfast. Order the hash browns with onions.
Cincinnati/Fairfield - Uncle Yip's
They did move back to Evendale and it is awesome. I have been there six times since it has moved. Dim sum made to order, and excellent fresh seafood dishes. Weekend nights are very hectic and the staff is limited. It is well worth the wait.
TItle: need best cheap eats in cincinatti
Tuckers is in Over the Rhine. Everything else is a 15-20 minute drive. Not far by my standards.
NEED good restaurant in mason ohio area
I have heard good things about one. For outstanding Sushi go to Kyoto.
Kosher Food Options in Savannah
Gottleibs catered my wedding in Savannah and it was outstanding. The challah is /was kosher at the Publix. They do not have a hot food bar but do have a few item's in the Deli Case. I could inquire further from my In-Laws but it seems everything there has been covered.
Best Restaurant in the State of Kentucky....
Northern Ky has some great restaurants. Walt's Hitching post has the best BBQ Chicken I have ever had. The Ribs, Hash Browns w Onions and rye bread aren't to bad either. Jo Ann in Hebron has great Sushi. You will not find a better steak than at the Waterfront in Covington.
TItle: need best cheap eats in cincinatti

BBQ- Pit-to-Plate
Late night-Chili Time, Camp Washington or Pleasant Ridge Chili
Vienna Beef (or similar) @ retail in Cincinnati?
I can't remember the name but the german hot dog place in the crestview hills towne center had awsome dogs and sold them in bulk.
Louieville chow before Police Concert
Coming down from Cincinnati for the concert Saturday, any recs before the show? No reservations would be helpful. Any $$$. Thanks
Cincinnati Riverfest
The best views would be from the Kentucky side probably at the Chart House. I tried it in June and thought it was very good.
Palomino's in Cincinnati
I have not been for over a year. Good food and service with a nice view of the square. My only complaint is the tables are way to close together.
So i went to PF Changs
I really enjoy P.F Changs. My standard order is hot and sour soup, kung pao scallops, and one of the veggie dishes either eggplant or sichuan stringbean. Always good.
Cincinnati:Joints that can hang with Tuckers
Chili Time in St. Bernard is my guilty pleasure. I grew up going to the one in Roselawn but this one is the same. Great breakfast, good chili and my favorite the time burger with cheese fries.
Italian in Cincinnati
Thanks to all for your recs. We ended up bringing in Maggiano's. Everyone enjoyed it and there are a ton of leftovers.
johnbycz good call on bangkok bistro. When I lived on Pape in the late 90's I ate there weekly. I really miss Pasta al Dente which was down the street where Sake Bomb is. I agree about buca' but Maggiano's is better..
Sorrento's is fair as is betta's. I have never had a good meal at ferrari's.
Old Spaghetti Factory is a guilty pleasure and I just have fondness for it from when I was a kid.
Need to try Bela Luna, I tried the place at findlay and enjoyed the pannini and fresh pasta and sauce.
Italian in Cincinnati
I have company coming in for the Flying Pig and they want to load up on carbs. I love Barrisi's but don't want to drop that kind of money for 10 people. Vincenzo's may be a possibility, any other suggestions?
Re-Post from PA Board: Cincinnati vs. Pittsburgh Dining Scene
Out of twelve times of eating at mortons I have had to send the steak back for either being over cooked or low quality four times. With only a finite amount of prime beef around I have always found the steaks at the precinct outstanding. The only thing at mortons that is better than the precinct is the bread.
New York-style pizza - Cincinnati area?
Adriatico's in clifton is my favorite. Italianette in silverton is also very good.
Re-Post from PA Board: Cincinnati vs. Pittsburgh Dining Scene
Out of curiosity, what's your Cincy steak pick? There certainly are a lot of choices, but not all of them are good.
The Precinct is one of the best steakhouses in the country let alone Cincinnati. After there everything is pretty much equal.
Re-Post from PA Board: Cincinnati vs. Pittsburgh Dining Scene
I am from Cincy but have spent quite a bit of time in Pittsburgh.
Each city has it's own strengths so I can't pick one over the other for dining. I do think that Pittsburgh has way more to offer in the city itself than in the burbs.
With steak Cincy wins hands down.
Indian, chinese, and sushi Cincy.
Italian Pittsburgh.
Primanti bros is great but I will stick with skyline.
Las Vegas Restaurants?
dining at emeril's on a saturday night. Any buffet or kid friendly recs? Will be in town on thursday thru sunday.
Sandwiches Columbus, Ohio
I had a corned beef at Katzingers recently and it was awsome nothing here in cincinnati compares with it. Corky and Lenny's used to use viena corned beef which is very good. At katzingers try the gene's free lunch it is named after my uncle and is the most expensive sandwhich on the menu.
The BonBonerie, Cincinnati
I love the opera creme from the Bonbonerie it seems that they have cut back on the sweetness of it and it is perfect. A large cake will run around 40.00. Take the Cake is no longer on Main St. the sign on the window says they moved to Northside. The Chocolate Cake with White Buttercream Frosting from Take the Cake is the best cake I have ever had. My late wife insisted on having it for her birthday. For a sheet cake I would go with Bonnie Lynn Bakery they have one here in Blue Ash on Cornell Rd. Generally I find Chocolate sheet cake not so good but theirs is an exception and the yellow cake is awsome.
Chinese in Cincinnati
I enjoy in no particular order Casual Chinese in Newport, Pacific Moon now at Newport on the Levee, Johnny Chan 2 at Harpers Point in Montgomery, Blue Gibbon in Bond Hill, Fantastic Wok in Brentwood and First Wok in Hyde Park. I think Uncle Yip's is not as good since they moved to Fairfield and have never cared for China Gormet.
Kosher Acapulco
I do not keep kosher but was there with my girlfriend who has several members in her family that do. The shabbat dinners were pretty good and were a buffet. When ordering off the menu for dinner everything was terrible. the burgers and fries at lunch were great. I think they go kosher again for pesach then not again until december.
