I always enjoy a few beers and steamed shrimp at the Red Drum near MP11 in Nags Head, I had 'found' it a few years ago then realized that it is a favorite of my wife's friends at the beach. Very relaxed atmosphere, ok for kids but good for beer too. Pool tables in the back but I 've never played on them.
They have good local fish and shellfish, highly recommended for a laid back meal.

I've had the sandwich the last few times I've been and it seems to get greasier and greasier each time I go. Maybe my late lunch gets the bottom of the bin?

definitely one of the best, I thought I had had good hotdogs until I went to Ed's. We ate there twice on our honeymoon!
