Where can I find West Indian,Filipino and Lebanese Stores in the Hull area???

Thanks for the reply Theresa...... been scouring the web for any stores around this area... no such luck!!! A friend of mine suggested Leeds or Manchester.... so it looks like hubby and I will have to find time to drive that way to find stuff. Cross my fingers that someone knows something near.....

Does cooking make you happy?

lol @ Janet from Richmond...... my hubby's the same, but we both have a rule that whoever makes the mess, will clean it up.... so when does cook, I watch him clean the kitchen too. Suit me well. I'm not generalizing men, but most men in my family and friends hubbies are messy when doing something in the kitchen. Oh, and you're right, they tend to use the biggest pot/pans they can find in the cupboards, hahaha....
Thanks for the laugh.....

Where can I find West Indian,Filipino and Lebanese Stores in the Hull area???

Just move from Toronto, Ontario Canada to a town outside Hull, and I'm having difficulty finding ingredients from ASDA, Tesco and other stores that's geared for Jamaican, Filipino specialty recipes, and so'z with Lebanese food. Can anyone help me out where can I find stores that carries these food products/ingredients???? The Chinese supermarket that I found in Hull got just a limited vareity of products. So, I'm kinda stuck right.
Thanks.

in search of a good West Indian or Jamaican restaurant with table service

There's Jamaican Bar/Restaurant opened along Danforth Ave. located between Woodbine and Main Street, near Honda dealer,I think its called Classic One Pub, I'm not sure if they're good, haven't treid it yet but they do have seatings. Tropical Nights along Victoria Park and Danforth Ave.'s not too bad.... just too crowded most of the times.

Mother in law visiting - any suggestions

If you're thinking of CN tower dinner, best make your reservation quite early coz you don't want to be waiting for 5 hours or more for a table to be available. If you want a 1st class, classy restaurant to impress your relatives, try the Truffles located in Avenue Rd. on the 2nd floor of the Four Season's Hotel.... one of my fav place..... well used to when I was still in Toronto last year. You might want to take her to the Royal Botanical Gardens.... it used to be beautiful, but that was a while ago since I went there. There's also the Black Creek Pioneer Village to see, Fort York near Bathurst, Allans garden.... that's just a few I can think of. Goodluck with your MIL.....

Does cooking make you happy?

I love cooking as long as someone will do the washing after...but cooking after a 12 hour shift from work defo not in my vocabulary, thank God my hubby can whipped up a fast recipe or ended up getting take outs. With 5 kids, and both of us working, it's really hard to cook everyday. Plus I got the problem of after cooking all the dishes, I ended up not able to enjoy my own cooking coz I've been tasting it, lol. It does makes me happy that everytime I cook, my family raves on it. It's the cleaning after that ughhhhhhh...
